I miss playing pool for money

Very difficult to be a great pool player and a great Dad.
If this is truly how you feel, I am sure that we could reach out the AZ community and set up a game... I won't play on money that affects my family, but if someone wants to back me (or let me rephrase... I don't want a cut. I will play you keep any winnings) I would be happy to display my "lackluster fatherly pool skills"

Done. I'll back you against Rhea. PM me, I"m sure we can work out the details. RJ

....( and I know 0% of any "history")....

then perhaps before you accuse someone, you should catch-up.

and maybe, just m-a-y-b-e, some of us enlightened Nineballsafety - that it would be a COMPLETE WASTE of his time to drive one hour, to play someone who can't even post.

(post = money on the light)

So what did I accuse him of??? Saying some stuff he shouldn't have? Big deal,, I do that all the time.. I am less than one conversation away from saying something dumb.

I am sure that Jay would shoot my lights out, so I have nothing to say about him as a pool player. I have to change my shorts when I run 9 balls on purpose.

I certainly didn't say anything about him personally. I did make a comment it is tough to be really good at a difficult sport and be a doting father, but I didn't say it was impossible.

I do respect the way he responds to jerks like me on this forum and certainly his service in a war zone, and thanks for that Jay. If I were in STL I would buy you a beer, rack 'em for ya, and laugh about the dumb crap we do.

Thank you. If you are ever in town, hit me up and we can play some ;)
just for beer though :P

RHEA,

You down for playing me on RJ's Money?

Races to 9 for $50. Even, winner breaks.
Post before the coin toss
and please answer here... not through email

We're going to need a promo poster for this match if it goes down... I picture a pile of crumpled up, filthy $1 and $5 bills with a couple handfuls of loose change, some pocket lint, and a stick of gum next to a $50 bill on top of a light. Match info and details being illuminated by the light on a pool table background. Sponsors prominently given credit.
If I had even rudimentary Photoshop skills, I'd do it.

I have to giggle...

The poster for the Lou/JB Match was pretty stellar, but we need something SEEDY LMAO

Why

I wish the pool community had a little more heart. I don't mean the kind that will gamble last nickels, and never give up, etc

I mean heart. An extremely disturbed girl with a really bad addiction that needs help. I am afraid things will end very badly for her. Do you want to be the reason? Why do pool players find it necessary to beg her to gamble, beg her to come to their city, ask ignorant questions, make ignorant accusations, drop ignorant little comments, and basically leave an individual with nothing?

I hope someday she gets help, quits gambling, gets a job and counseling, and moves on with life.

I've given people money back if I felt it was going to be a big problem for them, usually that means making poor money/gambling decisions while drunk. Rhea had a decent job and just chose to throw everything away, despite all of the tips/insight/advice and help that people were offering. When somebody decides that they'd rather give everything away and hit rock bottom, I'd rather the money go towards my bills and taking care of my g/f instead of some douche that treats everybody like dirt. Rhea also doesn't seem to have a problem with how the money is won either, so it's fair game, imo.

How do you not understand...
I feel disrespected, not about pool but personally.
Talk all the smack you want about my game, but when it gets personal, feelings get hurt.
Mine were... and yet AGAIN. If I hurt anyone else's feelings... I AM SORRY

I think you misunderstood me. I don't care about the woofing, her posting your private convo, etc....

What I don't understand is how you could have ANY respect for a person like her... even a tiny tiny amount.

We shall see how my offer for a game on RJ's dime is handled...
She has a chance to step up to the plate, show the heart she is so proud of discussing

Will she accept... and if so, does she win/lose graciously?

only one way to find out

Now she is an "extremely disturbed" girl ?? Nobody is begging anyone, she is looking for action, or did you miss that part. I'm sure the same could be said for MOST every road hustler that lived at one time or another, they begged for action they were not ready for.

Heck, Freddy the Beard mentions it in his book. He was send home penniless on many occasions, but kept coming back till he could beat the guy :) So, please, save your concern, she is a pool player who wants action, just like the thousands before her.
