I Need Help In A Hurry!!!

big thanks to everyone for their valuable input on this topic. It was very much appreciated and it bore out what I was wrestling with in that your responses, too, were split between yes ashtrays or no ashtrays. tough decision.

so here's what I ended up deciding to go with.

again, thank you all very much.

best,
brian kc

but seriously folks...

I decided that form must take a back seat to function.

So, the orig pocket castings went back on.

there were some questions and comments in this thread that I want to address and will ahve more time to tomorrow, hopefully.

really do appreciate all the comments guys - they def did influence my decision.

macguy suggested that the row of theater seats might be elevated for better pool viewing, but these seats are actually for movie viewing. They are at a perfect height to view right between the diamond light and the table.

for pool viewing I have options from the other side of the room. :)

thx!

best,
brian kc

I would have tried to trace the recesses in the ashtray that seem to be fairly straight-forward, and try to fashion an ashtray "filler" for use when playing a serious game where it really makes a difference to me. likely our of rubber, but a piece of aluminum cut to fit with a home made rubber gasket might do the trick as well.
