It came in and was very nice. It shoots good. It is straight as an arrow. Perfect weight, 18oz. The price was very cheap.
Has any of the world famous Lock Society/AZB members purchased a cheap Sneaky Pete on Ebay? Thanks.
Many Regards,

I used to sell a lot of them as I traveled. It was amazing how good they could be and they cost me like $6.00 wholesale at the time. I just put on a better tip and hit the shaft with a little sand paper getting them nice and smooth and they looked like $100.00 cues and played pretty good as well. I could sell them for $50.00 with my eye closed almost anywhere.

Often made more money selling the cues then playing pool. I used to buy a lot of Valley's, they were the real cheap ones. I also sold McDermott SP's that cost me around $25.00 wholesale and they were real nice and sold quickly. I think a lot of what is on ebay today is probably Chinese and I can imagine how cheap they are. I know I can buy cheap Chinese knives for like $2.50 that look like $30.00 knives but up close you can see the poor quality.

Could you post some pics please.
It's difficult to get a visual on what an Ebay sneaky pete looks like.
I'm going to take a wild guess that the pin is 5/16-18 flat faced.
Also, if you get a minute could you remove the weight bolt and take some pics of it as well....:scratchhead:

Ebay

I didn't buy a SP off Ebay, but I did get my J&J Break/Jump cue off there for only $44.75.

I like that it's a 57" cue. I've been playing with a Players sneaky and it hits great.

I didn't buy mine from Ebay, but I have a J&J sneaky that I got in 1998 in Los Angeles.

I was in So Cal doing clinical rotations at a UCLA hospital. I heard somebody was in town. Somebody I wanted to play. A big name. I found a place that sold billiard supplies and bought the sneaky. I think that was the only such trip I ever took and left the JOSS behind...never did that again. Anyway, I did find him, and I did play him. Because of that I will never sell that cue.

Anyway, It's a J&J, "true sneaky" with no joint collars or rings, about 19 1/4 ounces. Beautiful cue actually, very straight with what looks like a Brazillian rosewood into straight maple. 13mm tip and piloted 5/16x18 joint. Yes, a piloted joint sneaky, J&J does not sell those anymore.

Cheap? yeah, i don't remember what I paid but I was a broke medical student so I am sure it was not much.

I do dig that cue and it actually does shoot very well.

When I bought my table last year it came with 4 1-piece eliminator cues. Before I decided I wanted to get serious about pool it's all I had and I have to say they played really good. It took me a while to actually get used to my McDermott. I since sold them to customers and wish I didn't. If the sneakies play anything like those then I know you got a good shootin stick. Might have to order some to put up in the rack for visitors.

Hello LucasBilliards,
I can tell you that it plays good. I brought it to Buffalo's Billiards the worlds pool hall and let Buff and several other players play with it and they thought it was a $300.00 cue. Paul Laplace shot in the One Pocket tournament with it. He liked it.
Thanks for your response.
