to let my hand drop to the cue directly below the elbow

i looked in the mirror and my hand was 3 to 4 inches forward of the elbow,so i moved my hand back just below the wrap on my cue

almost immediately i could tell the differecce
i not only had more power and authority but a crisper hit

i don't know if this is something that will help everyone, but i was experiencing a feel of just shoving the cue forward, pushing as opposed to hitting

thank you randy
i have seen you often in the pool room, but it never occured to me that
instruction couldhelp

Not really a review. Moved from the review section. I know it's not a question either, but kudos to an instructor didn't really seem to need to go in the main forum either. This was the best place I could think of.

Dean. I have known RandyG for several years. He is not known for tossing around advice outside of his classroom setting. So if he told you something, as you can see, it is like having someone hand you a gold nugget.
Now, imagine spending 3 days with him as he works with you on your entire game!!!

Sign up for his class!

I learned more in the first Half day of Pool School than I learned in the year I had been playing prior. Randy is an Outstanding instructor, and an all round good guy.

Randy Goettlicher is for sure amazing and impressive. Just thinking about his postings here is in the most cases *pure knowledge-input*

Being a smartass... based on your thread title all I can say is that I am sorry for the loss of those minutes u used to read the advice.....

Being practical I'll say that from a fundamental perspective.... Randy and Scott are hard to Beat.... After 20+ years I may argue some points with them but from a ground up view I have no stones to cast at them...........

I wish there had been more instructors 20+ years ago... I might have played pro level even after CJ busted my balls.... and I would own a fabulous suitcase instead of a house and family... The kids are hitting their teens now so I make break the cue out at any minute and hit the open roads.....

You are funny my friend. Sticks & Stones........

That would be a loss of hours not minutes.

When I was trying to grow up, there was only one circulated book, the little red book by Willie Mosconi. It took me about three years to realize that book was for Willie, not me. Then I found Jerry Briesath and the game got easy.

CJ busted a lot of balls!!!!!

Keep posting
