I thought Earl is pretty much unbeatable on a 10 ft Table?

Exactly my whole point here. You need to actually watch a match to know how it went. For anyone to make comments about how someone got torched or their azz handed to them or taken to the woodshed, has to see the match, not look at a score. A score can only tell you who made the 10 ball without fouling on it, nothing else.

Everything else in between cannot be known unless its seen or if you had additional stats likr b&r's, missed balls, safes, balls on the break, no.of balls made in rack.

So true...depending on the format i.e winner breaks etc you could see a 9-1 score and say someone got got their arse handed to them, but if you didn't see the match you might not have seen the losing player dog 4-5 shots leaving a wide open table where the winning player didn't do anything special except runout like they are supposed to.

I like the fact that after he shook Landon's hand and patted him on the shoulder, Earl immediately started whining that Landon had slow rolled the balls to him for the rack. Landon threw up his hand and waived him off as he walked off. At that point the match director stepped between them.

Landon showed a ton of class, and a tough mental game. Only will get better.

At least that's what many pundit's on the forum claimed after his match with SVB last year? Was Earl using his super long cue?

It wasn't even close. This young kid Landon Suffett took him to the woodshed.

I haven't seen the match yet. But I'm sure Earl was in a rather "pissy" mood by the time the last ball dropped?

Earl is tougher to beat when the pkts are tight on a 10 footer as seen playing SVB in TAR match. Earl won by 20 games. When the pkts are loose more players have a chance as you saw with the Landon Shuffet match....

You have got to be kidding.

Trying to take anything away from Landon is silly.

Did you even watch the Landon / Earl match?

- Landon did not fluke his way to that win
- He did not lucky roll his way to that win
- He did not slow roll, shark, whatever to that win

Landon outplayed Earl

I watched that match closely, and the pockets could have been 4" for all Landon cared that day. He was splitting the wicket every time!

I agree you can't take anything away from Landon. Earl didn't play very well. But even if Earl was playing well it would still be close, cuz Landon was playing awesome!

I didn't think he was whinning. I thought he was going to show him how he would of shot the shot.

Is that what you heard?

Dude seriously thanks for the tip about YouTube. And I was kidding in that last post that ended with a smiley face.

speaking of which....what the heck is that spear he uses? im a short guy so a cue like that would help me alot reaching across the bar table. If i try thing of using "the crutch" im doomed anyways.

I was there sitting about 10 ft from the table, front row.
Earl *****ed the whole time the 2nd part of the match. was actually a complete douche to the kid. Although the kid never gave in to Earls antics, he did finally give Earl one jab back when he was on 13, or 14 games.
Kid missed a ball and got a semi good leave, earl cut it in, which he was probaly 80% to make. Kid was like good shot Earl, excellent, and that set Earl off.
The kud played the best of anyone on the 10 fts, it was not even close, until they moved the table under the cameras.

Landons suppose to attend college, but after that im sure he will be a superstar in this game. Definitely the brighest young star of the game right now.

hahaha! i would have liked to have been there to hear that :grin::grin:

Landon is a hell of a good guy, I used to call him a kid but he seems to have outgrown that moniker. I have known him and his dad for a few years now and they always exude class and their dedication to playing the game the "right" way commands respect. I am very proud that he performed the way he did and the fact that he did it to Earl is just icing on the cake.

Earl is a d'bag and seeing Landon beat him so soundly was definitely a highlight for me.

15:4 is a spanking no matter how it happened. Earl got tortured by the better player.

Earl asked for 10ft tables, he got them and got sent home by a wonderful young man who is in every way Earl's superior. Landon Shuffet has a bright future which he will certainly handle with the same class and grace as he handled Earl in this match.
