thanks for the pics!
makers?

post 31 ???

if those are benders he sure has gone a different direction

Yup. Those are Benders. It took 37 feet of gold rod to make up the dot paterns in the desert iron wood handle.

I believe the cues above the PFD's were Manzino's. I could be wrong. I did not talk with him very much.

you mean above the benders? the benders are above the pfd's

the only thing i recognized on the benders were the rings
the rest looks like gold taken up a notch

The pictures kind of ran together. I was looking at the first set of cue in post 33. I can't remember if those were the Manzino's or Carmeli's. I should have taken better notes. I think I spent more time talking water skiing with Thomas Wayne than I did looking at cues.

Sorry I did not list the makers--I have been very busy and was late for work yesterday due to the show and was late today trying to post the pics. I am not at home so I am unable to remember all the cue/makers but here goes what I remember-if I make a mistake I apoligize in advance.

Wish I could remember exactly but I took a ton of pics--most did not turn out well enough to post. I did see Bob Manzino but he did not have a display. I really enjoyed several of the cues McWorter had displayed--but my pics came out blurry. I hope the show continues to grow--there is alot of room for growth. Hope everone enjoyed the pics

I am almost shure they are manzinos he is a nother fine maker,

It was nice seeing Bill and Jimbo again, Ted came in as I was leaving and meeting Murry Tucker was cool but I felt I drove 90 miles north for a ego-fest personally. I mean the cues on display were beautiful and I met several cuemakers but overall ths show was sparse at best. Oh well, there's always Valley Forge in March. Just my two pennies!!!

is mk down there? is he going to email you some pics???

Jeff,
MK although he has been invited in the past, just doesn't go. I am sure he enjoys seeing the artistry, but its not what he collects. Like Marcus his collection is very focused.

I see TW made another disinigrating cue... did you buy it? :D

jimbo's gonna attempt cue makin???

Nah. He was just interested in the fine points of forming, reinforcing, placing, handling and hauling pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete products.

Murray,

I see a link to the skeet club in your post. Are you a clay buster?

Regards,

Steve

Yes I am. Not been very active the last couple of year but I've started shooting more registered targets lately.

Good to know, Murray! I'm a big sporting clays shooter that also shoots lots of skeet and trap for specialized practice. I actually got back into pool after a fifteen year layoff after "meeting" Nubs Wagner (Nova Cues) on a trap shooting chatline three or four years ago. One thing led to another, and Nubs made me my first custom cue. Now, I've got a cue collecting obsession that eats into my range time and resources. Keeps me off the streets, though...

You do some nice work, Murray! I hope one of these days, you take your "Gone Fishin'" sign down and make a few more cues, but I sure understand your decision.

Nice talking with you. If you're ever out in Phoenix, look me up. I shoot out at Ben Avery CTC which is owned by Dave Mc Gaffee, who is a world class skeet shooter himself. He holds the Kachina shoot annually, which draws folks from all over the world. Hope to meet you in person some day!

Regards,

Steve Feld

i had actually noticed that before but still don't know why jimbo would want to see it - but not really my biz anyways :)

It's kind of hard to explain. My shop is kind of like Disney for grown ups. If you are ever in Central Florida give me a call. You can tour the shop and come to my house for dinner.
