The Goulden Collection

The volume and depth of Richard's collection was something that kept attendees returning to his table throughout the show.

The ICCS took place last week from August 27th thru the 29th and was a wonderful event attended by collectors, cuemakers, and casemakers from across the United States as well as some from overseas.

The cues and cases on display were outstanding and to attempt to provide a complete list would be difficult so I will let the pictures, which I will post over the next few days, provide that information.

It was truly interesting to see so many fine examples of cues often only read about and I am not sure whether any historically significant cuemaker was not represented.

Three new cuemakers were admitted: Chris Byrne, Joshua Treadway, and Mike Durbin all of whom had impressive examples of their work on display.

In addition, Sandra Brady made a presentation on the status of the ivory ban and the work being done by The Elephant Protection Organization to disseminate accurate information to the public and state and national legislators.

Thursday night a tournament was held at Felt Billiards and was the only time I had two legendary cuemakers, Richard Black and Ernie Gutierrez, watching behind me and a world champion, Nick Varner, playing on a table next to me.

Please be patient on pictures as I have hundreds from the three days.

The first pics are just a quick sampling and overview. Hopefully, others in attendance will post pictures as well.

Is the third picture all Eastwood cases?

Is the last case in the picture with the distressed leather in a collection or is it for sale...?

The Meyer Collection

This collection features primarily wrapless cues but look closely as there aare some special cue WITH wraps as well.

Yes, those are Eastwood cases and were shown by Phil Eastwood. I believe all were for sale but you need to contact him for availability.

The Meyer Collection #2

A few more of a collection that changed throughout the show.

I was lucky enough to get to the show for a few hours Saturday afternoon. As great as these pictures are they cannot do these works of art justice. I wish I could of met a few more of the collectors and cue makers when I was there but being shy sucks.:embarrassed2:

All of Phil Eastwood's cases were for sale at the show. I know the black case with the 8-ball on the front sold while I was at Phil's booth.

It was good speaking with you at the show!

In Collections 3, picture #2, is that Mizerak's Balabuska laying flat? Next to the Kerner Collection sign?

Do we know what it sold for? I remember Linda wanted a whole lot for it.

Prices are not discussed among collectors exhibiting, just the cues by Cuemakers and casemakers.

I guarantee it has a Very substantial value.

Here are a few pictures:

1. Will Prout with Ernie Gutierrez of Ginacue.

We are both holding first generation Ginacues. I have a very unique one, an ivory handled six-point Ginacue with the handle made from seven ivory billiard balls.
Ernie has only made three 6-point cues.

Ernie is holding the first box cue ever made, built in 1969 for Eddie Kelly.
The cue has a very eventful history (another story).

2. Richard Black and some of his absolutely amazing works of art. Close up they are beyond belief.

3. Mr. Bond of AZ had a booth loaded with some of his very rare billiard antiquities.
I was very pleased he was able to attend and his items really added to the show.

4. Jim Sheridan, Victor Stein (Billiard Encyclopedia author) and me.

5. John Barton of JBCases and Rik Graham (Tikkitavi on AZ). John exhibited a ton of extremely detailed, one-of-a-kind- cases. Amazing.
