Idea For A Pool Related TV Show

Take a pro player either male or female and have a make-up artist change their appearance. Dress them very different than they usually dress, and then take them around to poolrooms and bars to hustle. Of course have a bodyguard with them and give the money back after winning.

Maybe 1 out of every 10 shows could have the old reverse steer in it. Have a better player waiting at the bar in disguise they take those weeks pro to. Of course the pro waiting at the bar would have to be a better player. I just thought it might get some viewers. Johnnyt

I read that someone did that with Coru Deuel and maybe Mika. It was in the last couple of years. Cory was dressed up goth style. It might have been in either Billiards Digest or Inside pool.

Does anyone else remember this???

With the popularity of reality shows on TV, how about one focus on league play (APA finals in Las Vegas) or the pros preparing for a major tournament. They could follow Mika, Ralf, Yum Ram Cha, Jasmin or other pros with a strong chance of finishing.

yeah, this is exactly what our stuggling sport needs... further reinforcement of dishonesty and "hustling" to really cement that shady image into the minds of this new generation.

yeah, lets shi^ on the sport some more. the hell with all the good, people try to do to right the game and get it to a positive level. lets show the kids how how us adults really do things for the sake of a laugh. Then you wonder why pool rooms are closing up. JMO

How about a show like golf channel's ," Big Break," featuring interesting shortstops trying to make the big time. Or possibly summarizing a year's
ups and downs of a promising shortstop trying to break through on the,
"Tour."
It would be a good way of introducing the legitimacy of pool which the layman never gets to see or hear about. :shrug:
