Sorry if this isn't the right place but I wasn't sure what area to put it in.
I'm working on a trade deal with someone and they are putting up this Schuler and I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what the cue would be worth.

Nice cue, it is worth between $250 and $350. This is not one of the newer models, it was made while Ray was still alive, not saying that it is rare because it is not. There were many many thousand cues of this model made from the 1970's until rays death.

If you can get it for $250 or less and you are buying for a player not for resale it is a great buy.

Extra Schuler cue shafts run between $50.00 used, up to $170 new. All are interchangeable with butt of cue.

As long as you didn't buy it to flip it, and got it for around the $300 range - GREAT deal, cuz they play WELL!!!

Thanks for the info guys, I haven't picked it up but I think I need to fill the guy in a little he thinks it's worth $450

A cue or anything else is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You can put high or low prices on cues, but until you find someone willing to pay you that amount for it, then what is the cue really worth???.....I've wondered about where the cue prices come from that sellers put on their cues that they have for sale. There's no "Blue Book" like they use in the car business to give an average retail and wholesale price so where do the cue prices come from?

I'm off track in your thread, sorry. I think the Shuler is worth $300 max......
