Anyone recognize this cue? I saw a very similar Adams "Rempe box cue" in another thread here, but mine is stained differently and not signed so I'm not sure. Butt piece has been replaced. Cue was purchased from Carl Conlon at the Univ. of Mich. Billiard Hall back in the mid 80's. Carl was selling his CCS line of Helmstetters up there back then and he also carried a few other cues. I've never seen one exactly like it and am getting ready to replace it with a new Mcdermott. would love to know a bit more about it before I retire it.

It is defiantly an Adam/Helmstetter from the Stanly West line. They also used the same blank for cues in the Rempe and Mizerak lines and also the Palmer PB line of cues they made for Palmer.

Sometimes it can be tough to nail down some of the exact model numbers for Adam cues because not only are there no logos on many of the cues from the 70's and 80's, but they often had many more cues in any given line than they had in their brochures. But the ring work on this cue points to it being a Stanly west for more or less certain. some of the satellite brands such as Julio Stamblini for example came with either a 5/16x18 or a 3/8x10 joint pin.
