Identify this cue

I need help with identifying this cue. I actually found it in the trash. It is perfectly straight. It looks like a custom sneaky pete. The tip is about a 10.5 or 11mm I haven't checked yet. It shoots really, really well. I think it would make a great snooker cue. I can't identify this joint though. Can anyone help me figure out if this cue is junk or if it is worth holding onto?

The joint reminds me of the Dufferins, but I know its not that. Sorry, I don't know what it is.

You know what they say, one mans trash is another mans treasure. :D

It's a Dufferin from Canada. Keep it - they're not being made anymore. Looks like 1990's or so. It probably is a snooker cue.

Dufferin 100%

Looks like my first real cue. Dufferin. 100%. I must have had at least 5 over the years. It's a horrible joint. Keep it for old times sake.

Nick

Thanks

Thanks guys,

If I want to use it should I clean it up, or should I leave it in the condition that I found it?

Sounds like you said it yourself. If it shoots really really well, it's worth holding onto.

Depends: do you want it to be cleaner? If so, get it cleaned. I think what people more knowledgeable about cues are saying is that this cue has no current resale value, so do whatever you want to it, you got it for free.

It's not a collectible cue ... or I don't see a value of leaving it in original condition. Having said that I wouldn't dump too much money in the cue either.

Get what ever work done on it you like, if it gets messed up you can always pick another one just like it up off e-bay for under $40

Thanks

Thanks for your opinion guys. I am going to let Willie clean it up and then I will just use it for snooker. I am not a big snooker player anyway, it will give me something to start with.

Thanks for the help!

txplshrk,

Dude, that's my cue!!! It was stolen from me while I was visiting the coast some time ago ;) . I looked in every pawn shop in town for that cue.
It means a whole lot to me sentimentally. My grandmother, the late Maudeen "the Mover" Magillicuddy gave that cue to me as a retirement gift  . I gotta have it! I haven't been the same without it. Please, please PM me and arrange for me to have it shipped back home!!!
;) ;) ;) ;)

God I hope you are kidding, besides how in the heck would you identify this as your cue. If dufferin made it then there are probably hundreds.

txplshrk, of course I'm kidding. I've never even been to Corpus Christi in my whole life. Enjoy the heck outa that freebie, and go 'head and git 'er cleaned up too!!!

P.S. Maudeen "the Mover" Magillicuddy should have been a dead giveaway!!!

The funny thing is someone left the same style dufferin at Hawley's two days ago. I kindly gave it to the current bartender in hopes he would come back and get it. Who knows...

I am sure that is a late 80's Wal-mart Special Canadian Dufferin and you are the proud owner of a $29.95 cue. Nice Rumage.
