If Billiards makes it in the Olympics...

GENERALLY, what country takes gold/silver/bronze?

I don’t want the thread to derail into a discussion of how it depends on which game, table size, etc. Keep it general, for fun. Only exception would be if the game is Carom.

My guesses:

Gold- Philippines
Silver-China
Bronze-Taiwan

Yeah, Asia will sweep.

Rick, I know this is off topic, but when I interviewed Evelyn Wanderone 6 weeks after Fattys death, the justice of the peace in MO that hitched' em on a stairwell landing....his name was Gus Schultz. When Evelyn told me that she laughed at the name.

Its probably something simple, like non formal compliance with IOC drug testing requirements ...
Umm.... Break dancing and skateboarding.... I know it's a comment based on stereotypes, but still ....

And is cannabis still a banned substance for snowboarders?;)

I would say instead that the primary driver of the choice was potential viewership and how much the TV rights will be worth. In a way that's not a bad thing because it is good to present sports that people are interested in watching. Dressage anyone?

I don't think it'll ever happen. We're lumped in with bowling, cards, darts, etc.
Skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, they all have action.. IMO the
only way we'd get pool in would be teams and a shot clock, fast paced
9 ball. I can't imagine the average Joe sitting there watching two guys
bunting uptable One Pocket. Snooker, maybe...??

USA and SVB GOLD! Who cares about the rest.
Jason

Because of the IOC wanting to decrease the number of athletes, as well as events, it would be impossible to go with the current World Games format.

The WCBS came up with a Team format that will briefly be tested in an exhibition in Paris on march 11-12: Three players per team for 3-cushion, 9-ball and snooker.

So, what you're saying is, if we still had Harold Worst, we could field a one man team
