What five American players would you choose to be on Team USA of the upcoming Mosconi Cup?

It can be based on performance, points, tournament wins, or you just like 'em a lot. :grin-square:

Here's my five:

1. Shane
2. Scott Frost
3. Justin Hall
4. Justin Bergman
5. Mike Dechaine

Darren Appleton
Jason Shaw
SVB
Scott Frost
Alex P

Unless the rules have changed, are Darren, Jayson, and Alex eligible?

I guess I should have clarified the question: Which AMERICAN would you pick to be a member of Team USA? :p

I like your picks. I was thinking about Sky and Deuel too.

At the time of this writing, looks like Shane and Dechaine are a shoe-in.

When Deuel actually looks like he cares he can shoot amazing and he comes up with some crazy stuff lol.

I think Sky could be the next big thing and I love his attitude.

Man, I love your forum name and your forum avatar.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top between Shane and Mike at Fight Night on September 4th. Mike will have the hometown crowd pulling for him, which shouldn't bother Shane one bit.

Who do you like here?

I agree. Corey has a lot of seasoning behind him and can play on all equipment. He adjusts fast. I would love to see him exude more enthusiasm. I like Corey.

I love Sky. I was pulling for him last year at the Open. I will be watching him like a hawk in the coming months.

Dechaine
Deuel
Bergman
Hall

This, best mix of experience and young talent. 2 best rotation players in America. Bergman has been challenging himself, Deuel has experience and can win in a short race, and hall played well last year.

My five and two alternates:
1. SVB
2. Dennis Hatch
3. Mike DeChaine
4. Johnny Archer
5. Bergman

6. Oscar
7. Skylar

Are Canadians eligible? If so then John Morra for sure.

Well, one thing for sure, Bergman and Hall have already been to one Mosconi Cup, so that should settle the nerves a bit having that under their belt. ;)

They need to open it up to all of North America to even it up a bit. Europe population 742.5mil vs USA 318.9mil. North America 528.7mil. Seems legit

Yeah, once you make Morra and Alex eligible for the team you are suddenly looking at a way more competitive match.

Alex
Bergman
Morra
Dechaine

That team can maybe actually beat the Euros, even if you pick the actual proper top Euro team as they should.

Matchroom has to realize, sooner or later people are going to think lop sided poundings are getting old, and they are not going to think much of neutering the Euro team with clearly omitting some very strong Euro players for weaker ones in an attempt to even things out like they did last year.
