Depends on the condition. I had mine done a couple years ago. new hope ring, new wrap, new joint, had the butt thinned down cause it was way to thick, new decal, and complete refinish.....

The cue was in rough shape....and it came out like a brand new cue, could not be happier with the results.......cuemaker Darren Hill knocked this one out of the freaking park.....the cue is gorgeous !!!,

Awesome RJ. I have a near perfect pro that I stumbled upon years ago. I made a new shaft for it and it plays great. There is nothing to improve on this one but I would like to get a old beat up Hoppe and get it fixed up by someone good..

Okay everybody, let's obey forum rules! If you are going to start any thread about a BBC cue, it must contain pictures!!! If there isn't a sticky about this, there should be. ;)

Seriously though, I want to find one of these cues and turn it into a player someday. So I'm very curios how projects like this turn out. I like to see how different builders finish a traditional cue like this. Pics and stories please

The cue looks like it would be in good shape from the leather wrap and butt, but there might be some issues getting the forearm done. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the
forearm finish has worn off and it looks like dye from case cloth fabric has discolored the wood.

I always recommend Scot Sherbine at Proficient. He'll refinish it and usually charges $85 but those forearm stains might be stubborn. Whoever does it will have to be very careful not to
damage the Hoppe signature. The "Willie Hoppe" part is burnt into the forearm and it's very thin. It might take some chemicals to remove the dye.

Ok, Lucky Stroke. You asked for it ;)
