ILOVEPOOL - Negative, negative, negative

Well Manwon i dont think we will be dealing with ilovepool because he says he is done with pool.I think that on here its different then buying from a company,we are tighter knit,i think people are different though,i have bought and sold things that i or someone else described and sometimes depending on your opinion on excellent or good it wasnt as described.I like the idea also of asking questions when your buying also,i mean sometimes a cue is listed and the listing isnt describe thoroughly so i ask questions about what is important to me.If its listed as excellent i dont expect dings, dents and severe scratches,if its in good shape i expect a few battle scars, light dings and some scratching from being played.Perhaps when ilovepool bought the sledgehammer it was straight, then warped towards the end of his possession or it was possible it did change after being shipped to Matt,we will never know truly.I think splitting the cost of another shaft was the best play here plus getting back the old shaft, but we arent them so now they both have a ! above their names IMO,not just ilovepool. If you buy something, check it out right away, when i get a cue one of the first things i do is check for straightness, this is where Matt made a mistake,i might not take a cue back after a week had passed but if it was the day it arrived i would as long as it was misrepresented.I think both are good guys, neither a crook, something happened to the cue along the way, wood is a funny thing,it can be straight forward but it laughs and frowns sometimes too. ;)

I agree Lenny, wood is a funny thing and I also know peoples memories are also, but I have a feeling that this in not the last we will see of ilovepool. At first I thought that is was also an honest mistake gone bad, and they may both be good guy's. However, the way we represent ourselves in public, and this is a public place, truly reflects what we truly are and how we conduct business!!!!;)

Have a good night!!

This is very true, they say you can do a good job and have one bad day at the office and get canned, the world in general doesnt take alot of excuses and sometimes isnt very understanding either.

Deal With Ilovepool

I just completed a deal with Levi (Ilovepool) and it was flawless. The merchandise he shipped arrived within a reasonable time and was in pristine condition. I had a few questions and he answered every pm within a few hours of sending them. I will deal with him again without hesitation. Paul

Bad Person, Good Person, Not The Point

Darth, no one said that 'ilovepool' was a bad person, it just seems that he was not very understanding with 'Matt_24' and did not want to help out in any way.

Matt_24 also felt like he was being called a 'liar'. That is not a very good feeling...

B.
I don't have any feelings either way regarding the issues between 'ilovepool' and 'Matt_24' as it is none of my business and there was absolutely nothing in my post to even remotely suggest that I thought either party was a bad person or a good person or that I was taking sides, which I wasn't. I was merely stating that in the middle of this mudslinging marathon there is a small ray of sunshine. Anyone that gleens anything else from what I have just said has issues of their own. :)

Levi your credibility is worth more than the trouble this going to cause you. When you are sell something, you are completely responsible for the sale, no matter if feedback in I-trader is left or not. The time frame when you were contacted is not unreasonable at all, the only problem was that the buyer left feedback before he completely checked the item. During this time of year cues do not warp in shipment, this only occurs during the summer when the it is really hot. I think as others have said that you did not check the cue properly yourself, or that it was warped and you were aware of it, which I hope is not true. Either way it really doesn't matter, the seller is always responsible for what they sell, and the buyer can return an item within a reasonable amount of time(maybe two weeks under normal circumstances). By you refusing to except the cue back, and by not offering to resolve this issue before it came across this board, and by your own words you are wrong.

Recently, I sold some Moori tips to a fellow AZ member (AZ9BALLER). Around five days after our transaction he contacted me and told me that the tips sent were hard not medium, as he had specifically requested. Two of the tips were already glued on for repairs he was doing, and he wanted to know what we could do to correct the problem. Now it would have been very easy for me too say well, I would be glad to sell you some additional tips sorry for the mistake. However, I made the mistake, and in my opinion I have to trust what the buyer is saying unless I can prove without a doubt that he is not being truthful.
I gave the buyer a call and discussed the situation with him, and by having good communication we resolved the issue in a manner that we both could live with. He ended up getting four additional Moori tips (medium this time) and only paying for two, in addition I sent him a number of other tips I sell as samples for him to try, for his trouble. In this case, feedback had also already been completed by us both, but is that an excuse to not honor what we have sold!!!!

You made a mistake, no one if perfect, however, all we have when we are born into this life is a reputation that can be built in a positive or negative manner. It is our choice, and completely done by the decisions we make during our life. However, when we chose to act in a manner that may appear to be dishonest our worlds start becoming smaller and smaller.

If I were you I would correct this situation, your reputation is more valuable. Sometimes, when we decide to wheel and deal we lose, and a honest man is certain that in the long run things will even out.

Good luck

dear mr. craig w. rittel,

i some time ago gave you rep for your great g-d given senses, which you show me always. i just wanted to say the same to you and give you my respect openly too. i mentioned a few other's on a post yesterday, and this is an acknowledgement of forgetting to include you.

reading your thoughts always replenishes me.

respectfully,

I don't expect a refund. I gave him the option of doing so and he decided not to. I just don't like it implied that I'm lieing.

I've bought a Southwest, 2 Klein cues, one Jerry R cue, and three cases in the last month. Why would I suddenly decide to make a false accusation about a $275 cue? I have no reason to lie. I would have even accepted a partial refund offer, etc.....to help cover the cost of a new shaft.

I don't like internet wars and I'm sure Ilovepool is really a nice guy -- but in this particular instance I just thought he made a bad decision and admittedly I was angry, so I felt strongly enough to share it with the forum.

Again, I admit I jumped the gun by not rolling the cue and fully checking it before leaving him feedback. That is 110% my fault.....BUT.....I just know what "I" would do - and "I" would have done whatever the buyer wanted.

Just seems like good business to me.

i just got forked too, huge.

and you do not have to defend yourself to me and most non-neanderthals here. and there are many neanderthals here. a fact of life, everywhere. giving good feedback for at least receiving your "basically good looking item" i and most are guilty of too.

and your new sw is just a little prettier than mine. just a "little". hope you love it as much as i do. i would love a kline one day, but i want a masonh now. after that i will ask for a kline. and really desire a ts too. each when i can afford it.

and just another comment: i really am a very poor breaker. i am really a soft touch guy and just can't control power shots. maybe not much of a pool player compared to most of you guys. many years ago ray shuler told me the break cue thing was nonsense and you could break for sure with your player. being a basic numbnut, who was i to argue with mr. shuler? anyway, about a year ago i got a fury break cue and long behold (it ws to me pretty cheap), i was a "little" better. but about 4 months ago i got a "gold rush" break cue, and really nothing changed, except this cue is 17.8 oz., aluminum butt plate and i break unbelievably better now now.

i just bought another one for my son-in-law & daughter from bestkites. i think i did, as i am waiting for his pm.

if you want, i will send one to you to try. it is hard for me to describe how greatly different i can break with this cue.

our 8 ball league just started again last thursday night. and in my 3 breaks i sunk from 2 to 3 balls each on 7' brand new diamond tables, with such narrow pockets. it was amazing.

now gold rush cues makes even prettier one. to all here, again i am not a break expert, but maybe some would like to try. i will try to accommodate you. and please don't get any idea i have anything to do with gold rich - i don't. just passing on my improvement.
