Give the kid a break. He is young and did make some careless errors in judgment in some of his posts.

I have read some posts in time gone by that were in very poor taste by younger posters, but after they may have seen the error of their ways, so to speak, they end up being good contributing members today.

When Jamie creates a thread announcing his departure, it is evidence that he may be a little green when it comes to forum land.

At any rate, I have seen other posters leave and come back, some by their own choice and some who were banned by the administrators, and today, they are good members on the discussion forum. JMHO, FWIW! :)

We were all young and dumb at one time, in other words! :p

Jam, with all due respect I am quite disappointed with your post. :( Something good finally happens in the pool world. This bafoon comes on here and puts it down and you tell us to give him a break. Sorry, but I don't think so.

You got a bet mr monkey......my two large bags of bananas against your $5 cash that he starts a thread before end of August including under possible new user names:)

By the way.......this thread title........does anyone know for sure if the correct spelling is monkeys or monkies:confused:

It surely can't be Monkees as in "Wey Hey We're The.....";)

Ps.....Jamie....50/50;)

I've never met the man.

I've talked with some people and players that have met Jamie. They say he's a nice guy and very personal, loves action, and nobody sweats the rail harder than he does.

But on this forum, most times, his posts come across as just plain obnoxious with the ALL CAPS, bad grammar, insults when things don't go a 100% his way and constantly flashing of his bank roll. Not the way to win friends and influence people!

I wish he would do two things.

First, he would take part of that bankroll and invest it in a typing and manners class. LOL.

I'm sure he has some great war stories about matches he has staked like Jay, Freddy and the rest. I think we'd all like to hear some.

Second, he would realize by now that 95% of the people on this forum don't gamble and the 5% that do, wouldn't match up with Corey ON HERE, anyway.

Simply put, it's just the wrong place to try to make a game!

JMHO,

Stones

i'd like to play tough guy who started this thread some, big bank takes little bank and then read his posts,

geez man give it a rest $$$ dosent make the man,

I am not stating that his contributions to the forum were good. In fact, they were in poor taste.

What I am stating, though, is that sometimes YOUNGER people do foolish things. Most people when they age can look back and realize that some of their actions may not have been the best approach to take. :o

In fact, I can think of several YOUNG posters on this forum who contributed posts in extremely poor taste in the past. However, in recent times, they have changed and are good contributing members. :)

Everybody can change. This kid is obviously young, full of vim and vigor. His writing skills and ability to communicate may not be as good as other veteran posters. :(

I have always believed in people getting second chances. Of course, whenever I get picked for jury duty, I am usually in the minority with my stance. The others want to fry the defendant within an hour, and me, I want to review all of the data, every single piece of it, before I make a decision. :p

JMHO, FWIW! :)

Actually, more than once. :D

I usually proclaim that I desire to take a hiatus or words to that effect. I read this forum for enjoyment, sometimes killing time while I am recording webcasts or dubbing DVDs for my work. When the forum becomes offensive, there comes a time when a break from posting is warranted. Most people would not want to read a forum that makes them angry, sad, or upset.

This kid is angry or upset, and he has announced his departure. Let him go. Providing compounding posts and pictures that ridicule him doesn't serve any purpose. It reminds me of the olden days when offenders were tarred and feathered. I mean, this kid is a human being with feelings, too.

If he comes back, it will be because he wants to be a contributing member to the family of AzBilliard posters, and maybe he will curtail his old posting habits by providing us with some juicy pool smut! :D

Again, JMHO, FWIW!

this statment by JAM supports my wish to have a players only forum thats invite only to post in it or a forum thats invite only even if they arnt players, just a way to weed out the boneheads, i'm board with reading over 20 threads to find a couple good ones that end up poluted by the boneheads.

I liked the woofing to no avail.
But most of all I was just getting used to his 'STUCK CAPS KEY'. :D
oh well. Too bad none of the matches ever happened.

Jam,
With all due respect, you leave the board on a regular basis when someone says anything that you don't like. Maybe, Jamie will adopt the same policy and take a few weeks off.

Please re-read my posts on this thread.

I never stated anything pertaining to Jamie's leaving this forum. In fact, I defended his stance.

With all due respect, I do not understand why you would reply to my two posts on this thread as if I was condemning Jamie in any way.

JAM

If we ran everyone away that we didnt agree with 100% of the time, there would only be Mr. Wilson and about 2 others here.

In fact, I think I am the only poster on this thread who did defend Jamie's stance. So what is your point?

I was defending him also. I have given him a hard time about all the woofing and I was simply stating that maybe he will take a little time off and realize that this is a forum with a lot of differing opionions that may not be to our liking sometimes and then come back later, like you.

So you now state that -- like me -- you were defending his stance to leave.

Why did you feel the need to zero in on my posts as if my posts were derogatory in any way towards Jamie?

Did I post anything mean-spirited to Jamie? I don't think I did. In fact, I thought my posts, once again, were the only nice posts towards Jamie on this entire thread.

Please enlighten me as to why you felt the need to let me know that I leave on a regular basis, as if I have no right to defend Jamie's right to leave. It doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever, your reasoning to make this statement that I leave on a regular basis when somebody says something I don't like.

Jamie is right about one thing. There are a lot of monkeys on this forum.

lol, I replied to ONE of your posts and simply pointed out that you leave, like Jamie was threatening IN THIS THREAD, exactly like two other people pointed out. Now, you berade me and call me a monkey. You seem to think its ok to call people names and express your opinion and then get upset when other express opinions that are different than yours.
You routinely correct people when it pertains to information that you think is incorrect or subject matter that you feel is not their area of expertise, yet you posted a ton of information about the wsop , all of which was way off and you have no idea or expertise on the subject matter. I think I'll take a little time off because we disagree, no wait, I'll just stick around and continue to post because this is an open forum and we are all entitled to our own opinions.

You responded to my post as if I had beraded Jamie for leaving the forum. I responded and inquired as to why, since my posts were the only nice posts towards Jamie on this entire thread.

Oh, you mean kind of like when I posted up the King of Cars post, when you felt compelled to respond to my post that you, in fact, owned a car dealership and must have more expertise on the King of Cars than I. Yeah, that's the ticket.

As far as the WSOP, I watched it on PPV and attempted to provide some updates to the readers of this forum that may be interested in the WSOP. Why would you state I have no idea or expertise on the subject matter? I was trying to contribute to this forum in a constructive manner. Do I have to have expertise to provide updates? Once again, what is your point? Do you want the readers of this forum to think that I have no right to post updates to the WSOP because I have no expertise in poker? Give me a break.

About a year and a half ago I was speaking with someone that was having an altercation with you in this forum. I remember telling this person at the time ... when you give as good as you get, you need to expect to get as good as you give. I believe that the same statement applies here as well.

Some of these threads are like snowball fights. Its all fun and games and everybody is having a great time until some kid gets hits in the back of the neck with a slushee-ball. Slushee-balls are a neat kind of snowball. They are the kind that hit your neck and explode and then slide inside the back of your shirt. The kid that gets hit with it gets pissed off and the fun turns into an ugly war. The kid that got hit usually doesn't stop until he gets revenge on the person that threw it - and eveybody that laughed when it happened.

Don't be the kid that got hit with the slushee-ball. You have more to offer this forum than all of this bickering that is spilling into every thread you respond to.

Every thread I respond to, Blackjack? Please provide references. I have responded to over a dozen today.

I will refrain from stating what I have learned through PMs about altercations you are involved in with others on this forum. I wouldn't want to ruin your day. However, those who live in glass houses should never throw bricks.
