im not gone or dead

FB-

That's tough news. If there is consolation-he went out doing what he enjoyed.

On a more pleasant note-any chance of you, Dippy and Bucktooth flipping quarters on TAR for some stakes? Everybody post into an escrow account and settle up when its over. You three have the gamble to take this on. Well-you and Dippy do.

Eric, take care. Good luck with your newest venture.

i madea post about retireing from AZB at 10,000 posts then I disappeared for the past week and change,

I did that post to check the value and perception of the Fatboy brand and myself, I was very pleased with the response, sure there are the haters and I hope to win them over someday, i hate no one.

I have been very busy with biz, I havent hit a ball since the Derby and since the end of October I have played very little, the least amount of pool since 06. I just havent had the time. But thats changing I will be back at it in about 3 weeks full time.

one of my closest friends dropped dead from a heart attack at 46 years old in the gym last Saturday, we were like brothers, he was a retired pro bodybuilder in perfect condition, except he had a bad heart, he didnt have any warning signs, towards the end of the workout he went down, he was training with a Dr who knows CPR, the Ambulance was there in 5 minutes, nothing could be done after an hour he was gone. That hit me hard real hard.

I'll be back on AZB in the near future, I will share the reasons why I have been busy and am gonna stay busy later on, for those interested, and for those who dont care, dont waste your time reading about whats reallly going on:wink:.

best,
eric

I can sympathize with you about losing your friend. One of my closest friends turned 60 in September 2009 and died of a heart attack just a couple of weeks later. There weren't any warning signs of a problem. I got a call from his wife about 10am and she said he was up getting breakfast and laid back down for a minute and that was it. His heart gave out and he was gone. I think about him often to this day. We were good friends and played pool together and talked often. You just don't know how long you have on this earth!

I'm glad you're back posting and don't stop anytime soon!

James

Eric, sorry to hear about your friend. Looking forward to seeing you and Kelly.

Close friends, I can relate. It comes with age. In the last 8 months friends who have unexpectedly passed were 45, 50 & 60. All pool players of different speeds. It happens to all of us. Enjoy the time you have on this earth!!

Congratulations on your posting milestone and keep posting. You are an asset to the pool world :)

Duane

Sorry to hear about your friend. Your post was a reminder to me of several things. One being there are things more important than pool, and another to call my friends and see how they are doing. Thanks, SteveD

Sorry to hear about your loss, Eric. And at such a young age, too. (Reality check, hello!)
