I'm watching snooker on matchroom and I wondered, why don't they use wrap?

My impression of snooker is there isn't much thinking outside the box. They tend to have the same or similar stance. Chin on cue. Chalk in pocket. Drag butt of cue on the floor as they walk. Similar cue.

Stark contrast to pool elsewhere.

Maybe snooker is a more structured game. Maybe it's British culture. Who knows?

the stance and chin thing is by default. try playing snooker with an upright stance..

I always get a kick out of the "it's tradition" reasoning behind the tools and methods used by snooker players.

Could it possibly be that they have just figured it out and don't feel the need to buy in to every fad that comes along.

Grips are completely unnecessary. My personal fav are the heavily treaded rubber grips on break cues....lol.

The reality is grips are nothing more than cosmetic.

Any snooker advocate can enlighten me on this, Ive been watching snooker for the past 3 weeks on matchroom and suddenly it hits me, why are all snooker cues are wrapless, is there a specific reason for this?
I happen to think they are right on this point.
