Need a bit of help with some ideas on a secondary market value for this Carmeli 8point wrapped hi/lo custom
4 color veneer maple/orange/lt bl-grn/maple with Amboyna Burl Points -wrap Original Black Linen feels like silk..beauty
Ebony F/B. BEAUTIFUL FIGURED wood Easily seen goldish grain.Amboyna Burl points heavily figured Points
IVORY joints, butt cap, ferrules
48 Ivory inlay diamonds wire box
52 Silver inlay dots diamonds wire box
2 shafts ivory ferrules 1and new no chalk other 95%
Entire cue 95% purchased NEW in 2007 ONE OWNER
The wood used on this one is as good as any Carmeli I sought out to compare as well as 97% of any other cues I have seen with similar woods that were custom mfg. By a cuemaker of comparable caliber, design and quality. Between the wood selection, the qualityand and amount of inlay work, the type of inlay that isnt done any longer, the volume of Silver and Ivory used, the use of ivory wherever possible and the pristine condition make this one very special. I need your assistance in coming up with the price less sentiment...i keep adding that in. LolThese pictures don't do the cue even 1/3 justice I am working on others.
Im adding the replacement cost as of now from Ariel due to some work like the wire boxes he chooses not to do anymore so having them replaced costs a little more. I know new and used are very different numbers just asking for your opinions. Thanks!
Ins Replacement Value $4,000.00 per mfg.

I think I would start around $ 2750 and expect to sell it in the $2250 area,
maybe a little more if you have time, a little less if you want to sell it soon.

I'd say Double Dave is probably right. There just isn't a whole lot of resale in Carmelis. You may get $3k out of it but only if you find the right guy who really loves Carmelis.

Good luck.

Thanks!

I just Love AZ people! Thanks Dave and Mia for your insight. That's what I meed to know to start asking for a reasonable amount so toI have a smooth and speedy sale. Thanks again for your input.

I'm not sure what the point of that was because it didn't really make sense. But if you think we're too low in our assessment, by all means... charge $4k. If it sells, more power to ya.

Thanks to BHQ!

So much love here!

Thanks to Brent Hartman of BBQ, CUEMAKER to the stars (he's mine anyway) for taking my pics from this post and improving them digitally...without even being asked...and then he emails me that they are finished.

Initially im like I am so lucky to be blessed with such good friends. The kind like Brent, always willing to help, great pizza connoisseur and chef. Then reality and low self esteem set in and begin to tell me louder and longer their tale using my own voice, my pictures were just that terrible and he was helping everyone that was passing through and saving my feelings too....OR.. he wants to help me to get a real good price so I can pay off my cue he's working on now and figures great pics couldn't hurt!
They will be posted soon!
Thanks Brent!

If Brent took this pics, tell him to take the cue outside with natural sunlight cuz these pics are not good at all.

I say the value is around $2,500, fwiw... It is a very tough secondary market for Carmeli's. I don't understand it, but it is what it is.

Trying selling it on E-Bay without a reserve. That will tell you all you need to know.

Double Dave's Nubmer is probable about right . They just don't seem to move really fast unless your giving them away. I had one a couple years back and it was a great cue with nice workmanship, 8 point , snakewood ,ebony , ivory and lots of silver I think I got $1850 and took a $300 loss .

I use to play for areil and I'm a high end collocter and pro areil sponsored
Me right now his cues are not selling for now were near what there worth u can look on cornerstone and see ivory butt sleeved cue he built me to use and my playing cue and its a beast super here's pics. Areil valued this at $9,500 and It sold for $3,800 so even though your cue is a big cue I'd list it
At $2,500 it should sale for that if it was wrapless if buy it. GLWS
