Went to Baileys and had a great time. Played a local player some one hole and finished two games down for the night. Got to fix the jelly stroke :-)

Hanging with Renfro and his buddies is a lot of fun. Chris makes the Outsville products, Accu-Rack and the Ki-Tech tips.

On the way back from Crossville where there is a sweet little pool room called Family Billiards. Kevin and Wendy are the owners and the food is FANTASTIC - first time I could not finish a salad.

So far John's visit has been a hoot... That's a good thing if you aren't from around here btw.... Supposed to look at CTE tomorrow with John and see if I can finally get my head around it... I have used a version of CTE for years that is bridgelength driven so maybe it won't be a stretch but we will see....

Been playing 9-Ball with John's friend Andi while he's been playing one hole with folks... Am glad at this point that I don't have the Accu-stats TPA app yet... I've gotta be shooting under .500 for the last 2 nights LOL... I have gotten to play more in 2 nights than I normally get to play in 2 months so that's not so bad... Would need a bout 3 solid weeks to even sniff where my game should be but time isn't on my side these days....

Kevin and Wendy definitely deserve a shout out... The little room they have in Crossville is a prime example of what to do right to have a great room regardless of size... They have 4 7' Diamonds and 2 9' Foots and he hopes to double that in the not so far future.... The food is awesome.. They don't buy the cheapest stuff they an get to make the most money and they are constantly adding and removing menu items based on the feedback from their crowd... Pool is $4 an hour per person and they have Monthly deals for the hardcore guys that like to get on the tables as much as possible...

When we got there tonight it was standing room only and 75% of the players in there were 18 and under... Pool is alive and well in Crossville and it's a welcomed sight.. Kevin charges k-12 players 2 bucks and hour and it shows by the number of high school students I see there every time I go... The best part is they are being taught the game and the etiquette.. Most rooms with the younger crowd you would have little idiots woofing everywhere... These kids are polite and respectful of the equipment and the other players for the most part... Totally awesome....

There were 2 regulars on one of the 9fts that actually gave up the table for us since we had driven an hour to get there.. Good solid people all around =)

Chris

John - let me know if you venture North of the border at all.

Why was your last thread closed?

I guess it had run its course. Was not about my visit to Stan any more. I dont know. Wilson said everyone should thank me for it bring closed so you're welcome.

I will certainly let you know if I head to Canada. Where are you up there?

Get to Detroit

Hey John, if you get to Detroit and play at the blue diamond for Monday night action. You might be able to get a game with Evan jr. (the guy that put Lou out of the Derby one hole) He is an excellent player and could probably give you some insite on how to play Lou. I'm sure his play won't be free, but it would be educational. Also Kenny Brisbon plays there every Monday. Tom

Great. I would love to play Kenny some more and I am sure he would love to play me :-).

I heard Evan is a very very good player. No wonder Lou dogged it against him. Guys that can turn the screws just by their quiet confidence.
