In need of help... New to forum

I have a cue that my grandfather gave to me and I am trying to find some info on the cue. It says Jimmy Rempe by Meucci on the butt of the stick. I also think it is a JR-3 chain link cue but not sure. I would like to know how old it is, if its real, and its estimated value?

I have no intention of selling the cue I just want to know what I really have. I am often complimented on the cue but I am not sure if the cue is what people say it is.

Any help would be a big help.

Thanks,
Drew

Is it a JR-1 as shown in this flyer?

http://www.budgetcues.com/archive/meucci-jr-series.htm

They go for somewhere around $300 on auctions from what I remember.

its like the JR-3 in the picture but different color

About $350 or so if it's in excellent condition and pretty straight. It was a popular model back in the 1980's. They made quite a few so it keeps the prices down. This is a fairly average price for the older Meucci's.

The color is probably the same as the one in the flyer - isn't it?

I think Tate's wrong on this one. That's one damn fine stick.

I'm trying to get you a picture. See my next post.

Please return that cue to Jimmy! He's been looking all over for it and won't play again until he gets it back.

Don't sell in this down market. That stick is special.

They won't let me copy the picture try this link:

It's the same model cue - it's been for sale on Mad Mike's website for at least 5 years - overpriced. There were many hundreds if not thousands made in the 1980's. I've bought and sold many Meucci Originals some time back when the prices were higher including the JR-3 -- they don't bring in that much.

Just read your whole post where you stated it wasn't for sale.Does both shafts match the butt? I seen one in very good condition bring 450.00 on e-bay a few weeks ago.
