No Lou I don't want to play, stop begging :-)

For everyone else I would love to meet any of you who don't want to kill me. I will be at the Break tonight and at the Lindenwood Durbin Challenge tomorrow then probably at the break afterward.

Sunday is free all day.

I have cases available, can play some friendly pool preferably one pocket, talk shop, don't make me look for a date on Craigslist.

Watchez - let's get together for that beer I owe you!

I have to work tonight and going out with IBA and his wife later. maybe we can come by the break. If not I'll stop by tomorrow night on my way home from work. I am horrible but I will play.

I'll be at the Lindenwood match also. If you like we can go to a pool room from there. Either way, first drink on me.

I could be. What case did you buy?

2x5 or 3x6

depending on color. preferably solid color/black.

cue and cushion had predominantly 1hole players and used to be lou's old stomping grounds. i could meet you around 500-530p on sunday.

i'm sure you could find someone to play as well.

I'm in Florida running my tournament and enjoying the warmer weather.

Next time.....

Hey man. Call me if you want. Heading to the break after dinner.

For sure. Couple people in St. Louis now have dates with me in the future so I can get my money back that they are holding for me.........

Make sure you get to The Hill and eat some Italian food if haven't already....

It was good meeting you John, I'm sorry I didn't get more time to chat with you. I thought it was classy of you to donate a couple of cases to help out the Lindenwood team.

Tried to go to Pappy's but the line was around the building. Ended up spending the day with Gary Lutman and being treated to some of the most beautiful antique tables. Then we had great Barbecue at Shooter's in O'Fallon - extremely good!!

Ok Lou you can go back to practice now. I am gone from St. Louis. The guys at Cue and Cushion say they really miss you. They need your micrometer to measure the pockets.

I had a really good time at Lindenwood and at The Break and at Cue and Cushion. Lots of pool history in both spots. I have to say I would be incredibly sad to be barred from a great old time pool room like Cue and Cushion.

Picked up some great shirts - they might have the best pool room shirts I have seen so far. Craig, the owner, is a designer and he designs all the shirts. Go there if you want to see some of our new production cases.

The feeling is mutual. It was a bit crowded to try and socialize and take in the match. Ray Hansen really should get the credit though because I had given him a case to do with what he wanted and he donated it. So when I was introduced as the benefactor I felt a little embarrassed and decided to go ahead and match Ray's donation with another one.

I was glad to be there and witness what is hopefully the seed for the future of pool in the United States.

Thanks to Terry, the owner of the Break for the invitation to the match.

Who did you lose to --- then I can tell you if you should just not show up to play Lou and forfeit the $3,000.

Bar B Q at Shooter's in O'Fallon = FAIL. There are much better Bar B Q places in St Louis. One is about 3 miles from Lindenwood and owned by a guy that loves pool. And if you were sold on Pappy's cause of the Diners, Drive Ins hype then they have a sister place that your tour guide should have taken you to.

At least you went to the only two places in St Louis where pool is alive. Everywhere else is closed, dead or not worth the trip.

Unreal

Just because you have virtually nothing to do with pool in or out of St. Louis anymore certainly doesn't mean it is dead. Depending on what you are looking for there are quite a few places worth going to in and around St.Louis. A couple hundred people were playing a tournament at Side Pockets this weekend. Since you have nothing to do with pool anymore why don't you just quit bashing it for those of us that do care and do promote pool around here ok?

Yes JB - sounds like you missed out on the league finals at Side Pockets. You should have gone by there. St Louis is the home of the APA and the genesis of pool sandbagging. You might have even been able to see the pool action thru the heavy cloud of smoke the place is filled with. You can actually thank Side Pockets in part for the builiding of the $100K Lindenwood facilty. It was the former home of practice for the Lions but it didn't help Mark's recruiting when he would take a prospective student and their parents over there. The reaction was never a good one cause of the heavy smoke.

just saying

St.Louis pool isn't dead. it may not have the action of your former life and you aren't in touch with the players of today. Every single weekend we have choices of what tournaments to go to, I have action any night I want at a large variety of places, We do have APA for the people that care and Missouri 8 ball with a couple hundred teams in the league. This weekend was their all star tournament BTW and next weekend is the team tournament with a first place payout of about $8000. Probably 500 players in the room. John may care about this as he makes his living off of POOL PLAYERS. Not the secret games played by an out of towner and a rich guy late at night that 20 people knew about.

Yeah the smoke sucks but guess what? Two of the pool halls you glorify that closed they claim was because of no smoking. And as JUICE says "Pool and smoke been together as long as peanut butter and jelly. Tell SVB stay home." ~Juice~
