Industry Support-Duh

You know what I find odd but typical of business as usual within the billiard industry, is here we have Pool and Billiard Magazine, the number one supporter of Women's Professional Billiards and secondly Billiards Digest; and they have NO NADA NONE - information on what Jasmin just pulled off. Whats also typical, is that they have sat on the BCA board of Directors for years, supposidly doing things to improve the business climate, yet I don't see it, actions speak loudly, but this lack of action shows me again ONES personal agenda is more important than the sport.

Just curious why and HOW you seem to believe that P&B and BD are the biggest supporters of the WPBA? Do you mean philosophically, financially, or what? If you're talking strictly about the websites, please remember that the magazines have no interest, nor direct input, on the management of either site. They are run by people outside the magazines.

When I say supporters, I meant they are the media vehicles (best two US magazines) that have the power of the pen to MAKE a difference. These are the two vehicles here in the states that spend all their time telling us about pool, so why the heck can't they tell us what going on in real time, isn't that what news is all about. I picked on P&B because Sherri Stauch played with the WPBA pros for years and I noticed a slant in there mag more towards the women, but I could of cared less, its all good. But when something as important as Jasmin coming along and beating Allison, one would think P&B would of at least been there for the women and the sport. No wonder pool finals never make it in the newspapers, our own magazines won't tell you in real time on their own websites whats happening. I find this win as important as when Nadal beat Federer for the first time in tennis.

Like I said...the websites are run by outside people, NOT the magazines...and like this site, there are people who come on and post results about tournament play, for both men and women, in real time. If you're not seeing it yourself, be the one to start a thread! Anyone can sign up and post on any pool site.

perhaps it has something to do with the fact that they are in the
magazine biz, not the website biz - you buy the mag, they get paid.
you read the site, they don't. do the math
