Info from Oscar for all the Brunswick lovers out there.

You do realize the Diamonds are rolling off because the mechanic, or should I say installer, didn't know what they were doing when they set it up. I'd wager if the guy that setup the Diamonds you are referring to set up your "perfect" table it would probably roll off worse.

How long ago was college? $3K is steep for a Rebco.
I knew Bob Beb (spelled wrong I’m sure) he was in Clovis Ca. Made tables for years. I couldn’t stand them.

When Hardtimes in Sac was Great American they opened it with Rebco’s in it, who knows why? They were all over central Ca.

They were better quality than Gandy or Murry tables. But the flat narrow rails pissed me off. He did do fantastic restoration work like Blatt’s, just a lot less $. He had a pool room with lots of old tables to play on-that was cool.

Back in the 80’s I recall them being about $3K. I paid $900 for a GC3 out of a room in San Diego that closed down back then-for perspective. I don’t recall what new GC’s cost back then. Say 85-87ish.

That old man that put the table together was cussing up a storm because we were trying to bargain with him and he came a long way he said.

Till this day no table comes close as how great that ugly table played. It was ugly but the playing surface was A+++++

I have a 7 foot Valley with 4 inch pockets and Champion cloth- plays very nice. If installed to particular specifications, I think Valleys are very good bar tables and much cheaper than a Diamond
I have an old Valley 8' with Ridgeback Pro rails on it, plays remarkably well. Definitely a great budget option for a home table.
Not the greatest design, but if you can find one with a decent cabinet and slate, they can be made to play very nicely.
