Info from Oscar for all the Brunswick lovers out there.

Now, only if they'd make the rubber in the US again.
All that will be a waste if the rubber is still not like the original Super Speed .

I believe so.
I believe he clarified later that he was involved for a 1 hour initial napkin sketch conversation, but not beyond that. I think he mentioned the corner casting shape was sketched then. It’s written here somewhere on the forum but probably super hard to find now.

For the 7 he seems to be acting as a hands-on consultant/contractor and has been involved continuously.

The GCVI is a nice table and Brunswick has produced different levels of tables at different price points for decades. Not everyone can afford, or has the need, for a top of the line commercial grade table.
A new GC is around $17K + CAD here and too rich for my blood so I opted for a Black Crown ( Canadian table) .I played on Black Crowns for several years and I liked the way they played and figured one would do as a home table vs the furniture looking tables.

A friend played at a doolies up there somewhere and he said those black crowns played fine.

I've been to 3 Dooly"s in the Halifax area as a spectator to watch 8-9-ball tournaments. I don't know anyone here and wanted to check out the competition. I didn't check out the tables and if they're Black Crowns I'll be happy lol. The Predator Tour has been expanded to 4 provinces and and the top players from the 4 provinces play in a final with $10K added. I'm hoping to get in playing shape for it

Off topic:

Do you know if Luc Salvas is Greek? He always looked like it to me and his last name aligns.

I thought it has been a couple of decades since Brunswick built tables in the US. If that's true, I'd be really surprised if they moved manufacturing back to the US for this new model.

I'd line up stacks of cash if they did. Call is nostalgia, whatever, I'd pay a premium for a new high-quality Brunswick made in the USA. But I'm not intentionally buying anything made in mainland China.

On that facebook post from Oscar, someone in the comment section mentioned he saw one at their factory in Texas I think. Could that be the Connelly factory?
I would never want a table with a metal edge on the rails. Just my personal take.

now being one of the old guys in the pool scene around here lol I get asked about tables. I always tell people to me if your getting a 7 foot table diamond is the only choice but if your getting a 9 foot you can save yourself a ton of money buying a gold crown and you’ll be just as happy. They play great and will last forever and around here for 2k you can get one in great condition.
I have a 7 foot Valley with 4 inch pockets and Champion cloth- plays very nice. If installed to particular specifications, I think Valleys are very good bar tables and much cheaper than a Diamond

I agree but if you look at what they want for the current GC6 at 12 to 13,000 they will wanting 15 to 20,000 for this new one.
No GC is worth 12K and I know that’s the price. Even $8K is too much when you look at what’s really going on. I got no beef with a company making money. But the margins are stupid high when all things are considered.

My biz partner knows less than zero about pool. He’s a rich guy who puts a 9’ Bwick table in what ever house he buys to live in and never plays. He pays ~$10,000 for a 9’ Bwick with 5” pockets from the “home” division of Bwick. Why? The brand recognition. Simple as that. He’s busy and doesn’t have the interest or time to get a better table for ½ the $.

Look at what Chinese tables cost and or a refurb GC.

Glen and I were talking about a steel frame table with a 2” slate. That would be something-until the time to move it comes along.
