Input on layered tips

OK I guess my next retipping will be a .....

SNIPER ! After reading all of these comments I guess I would be a fool not to try them especially if so many here have gone from Mooris to the Snipers with so many preferring the sniper tip ! Thanks for the post mr W and for the valuable info. :)
 
You guys really need to try a moori and/or Molavia tips. Also Kamui tips is another good one. Moori and Molavia are not as expensive, I sell 3 of them for $27.00 plu shipping. IMO Molavia has one of the best hit of all the 3 tips and when it comes to consistency...you can alway depend on these tips. The feel of the hit last about 3-6 months before it changes depending on how often you play. The Moori and Molavia uses a specify part of the pig skin that they dry and cured through a rigorous process to make one of the best hit you will be able to find. If you buying a $1000 cue and using a lepro..you are not getting the maximum playability out of these cues. Test these tips out for yourself....the feel or hit is really subjective and I have guys that treat LePro with milk and compress them and they believe it's one of the best tip in the world. I've actually try it and it was pretty good....so again...it subjective.

I think the quality of layer tips can not be compared with the cheaper one piece like lepro befor of the processes that it takes to make one. The molavia tips are each hand press with consistent press each time... I'm not sure what the process is for make one piece tips. So it like buying a $100 cue vs $1000 cue from a custom cue maker. The both have the same function but their is a striking different in how they play. Some $100 when you find the right one hits better than $1000.00 cues...but you have to know what to look for. Just like some lepro make hit better than layer tips but make only 1 in 100 or 1000 will be like that...

General rule of thumb...you get what you pay for.
