instructors

thats perfect

Justin, people are getting offtopic on the grammar stuff, but your question DID get answers. Lots of them. I dunno if you're too lazy to read the suggestions or you got ADD or what. If your attitude about learning pool matches your attitude here, you got no shot at becoming even a shortstop.

AT LEAST do the work to read what people wrote in reply to your own posts. Even better, use the forum search. You think this is the first time someone asked this question on here?

I'm gonna spoonfeed you all the answers people have given, okay?
So there's no excuse for you to post the same question in 3 weeks.

Pick one and bite the bullet. If you wanna know more about any person on this list, search the forums for their name or google them.

hey thanks, a had alot of these guys written down, johnny archer is an instructor? he is my favorite player, i respect him alot....i would love to hook up with him

PS: I'm not a teacher, nor is anyone in my family. But if my son could not read or write, I would have known about that in 1st grade, and wondering why there is a problem, and then fixed said problem. Yeah, some folks live in areas with some bad schools (Chicago Public Schools - where I was taught, but I was wise enough to move to the burbs so my kid can go to better schools) But parents living in poor performing school districts need to work that much harder to ensure their kids are learning. It's not rocket science to read to your kid and work with him on spelling and geography a few nights a week !!! Also, my cousin (Chicago Public Schools) was accepted to Stanford University... if it is not the top school in the US it sure is in the top 3 !!! Not bad for an American Idiot !! But his mom raised him alone but was behind him 110% and made sure he learned and stayed on top of him to succeed. She passed away (cancer) before he got accepted to Stanford.

I have three very close friends who teach, and my wife and mother in law are both college professors. They can all tell you about the No Child Left Behind Act and how it's absolutely ruining a lot of things in the education system. I was an Education major in college. I've done studies, lots of them, about NCLB and its effects. I'm happy for your cousin, getting into Stanford an all, but what I said about the buck constantly being passed is a very real thing. Maybe not always to the degree of the example of a ten year old not knowing how to read, but it happens. Trust me.

Actually now I'm not so sure he should be on the list. I've heard stories of him teaching guys, but I dunno if that was arranged classes or they were just friends of his or what.

I think most pros would be glad to teach if the price is right. I remember Ralf Souquet was offering lessons for 100 euros an hour. If you have the money, there are guys on the forum who can put you in touch with Johnny. If you're serious and have some green saved up, try bfdlad: http://forums.azbilliards.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=23146
