interesting documentary about bowling

And they both (bowing and pool) were the major lines of Brunswick. The company at least still has bowling alleys. Can't say the same for pool.
 
Bowling documentary

A league of ordinary gentlemen is a great movie to watch- a lot of similarities to bowling.

I ordered 10 copies a few tears ago and made sure certain people watched it.

Highly recommended.

For some of the people who are constantly making a point of how Pro Pool Players are the ones holding our sport back, I would say it doesn't seem as if the main man running the Professional Bowlers assn. would seem to think that Pete Weber's actions (and he's over the top) are holding back bowling. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact he says something to the effect that we're lucky to have him, in other words use what you have (in a smart way) don't try to sterilize it.

The cursing I understand is no good, before you go there!!!

Thanks for putting the video up. You can almost put the word pool in to replace of bowling each time it's said. There was a lot of history about the PBA I had forgot. Notice most of the top bowlers handled their money like top pool players have for years and notice how most ended up. Johnnyt
 
Not many posts on this. I think for those that watched it, it brought home what is and has been wrong with pool. Reminds me of Jack's famous line, "You can't handle the truth." To past and present pool pros it must be like looking in the mirror.

It drove the final nail in the coffin for me to see another pool tour. Pool is too boring to watch in tournament format. Pool has a blue collar image. Pool has a shady past and present. Pool is just a game. Johnnyt
