Good find. I've been cataloging information for a Brunswick Collector web-site and came up with this from 1908. The introductory page is hilarious - talks about other cue makers as "broom stick and mop handles". No political correctness in the early 20th century.

Its hilarious but thinking about it - maybe some made cues out of the broom stick and mop handles - there was no internet, no phone, horse & buggy, etc - maybe they used what was available. Seriously, it would be interesting as a cuemaker to know since a lot of people played pool in those days --- heck this little town down the road from me had a pool hall in 1912 and this is the rez and everything was freighted in after it got dropped off at the train depot!
