Yes, I found this list interesting, especially the ones who died young and some of the causes of death, a few of them violent. It was also surprising to see how old some of the people lived to be who participated in dangerous sports.
As far as billiards and pool champions, Mizerak was the dominant player listed, but there were also mentions of these players:
Aug. 24: Norman Hitchcock, 77, former national billiards champion who once described himself as a “pool hustler.’’ In 1973, Hitchcock won the national championship for nine ball.
Oct. 9: Paul Hunter, 27, British snooker star and three-time winner of the Wembley Masters tournament who died of cancer.
