International Open

I was there in 2011 at the US Open when Cortez, on the TV table, ran a 5 or 6 pack. The entire place was dead silent watching in amusement. He was shooting at the 2 ball in the next rack, I believe it was in a long difficult cross corner shot and the ball rattled and hung in the pocket. Once we all knew the ball wasnt going to fall, the place erupted in cheers and whistles and laughter. One of my favorite memories of any tournament I've attended. I've pulled for him ever since!

At that same tournament I watched Neko practicing solo on a table waiting his turn and the dude didnt miss a ball for a solid hour, it was impressive. He didn't fare well in the tournament though, and I dont know of many he has played real well in. (I could easily be wrong though) I like Cortez in this match simply on his composure.

There, I said it.

I don't know who Chris Robinson is, but it's nice to see an American player(who may be a low tier pro, but again, I have no idea who he is) get a win over a top Japanese player in Nauyuki Oi.

Speaking of the Orcollo/Ko P-H match, how about that Game 11 -- 17 shots on the 1-ball, only 2 of which were attempts to pocket it.
