Is this meant to be a lower end model for them?

Hi Jamie,

Not really. It is not as expensive as the Paramount model. About the same price as the President.

They needed a black model in the line up.

Verhoeven continues to be the most sought after brand. When some popular brands have farmed out many of their parts to other countries, Verhoeven continues to make every table at their plant.

There are reasons why Verhoeven is not as inexpensive as other brands.

Italian slate vs. Brazilian Slate
Kleber vs. Artemis
no farmed out parts
Wood vs. syn.

I'm not knocking other brands but contrasting Verhoeven with other brands. There are several manufacturers to choose from. And many are good.
