Guys, Darren Appleton just told me Karl doesn't play money matches and never has. It has no interest in them so it's not a case that he's a coward or anything like that

So it is going to be a bit of a push for Karl to suddenly want to have his first big money match against a monster like Dennis away from home

So the chances of this match happening are very slim

I gotta say if Dennis knew Karl didn't play money matches and i'm sure all the top players know who does and who doesn't , then it is slightly poor form to call him out on a public forum.

desmond its not quite what i said to you i actually said this to you in reply on facebook

the match will not happen as karl never played a money match and i dont think money matches interest him to be honest.

but karl can obviously speak for himself and his replied with a answer to dennis.

cheers daz

This is the keyboard equivalent of missing with ball in hand. Then scratching.

Sorry Daz, i didn't mean to get involved and just wanted to post so people didn't put too much pressure on Karl. As Karl said, he can speak for himself, i should have known better :)

Anyway i for one would love to see the match if it happens, if it doesn't, i;m sure there are plenty of other great money matches we will see in 2011

what i cannot understand is why people assume immediately that any such game will be in America............
how stupid would Karl be to throw away a huge advantage like that for big amounts of cash........Dennis, you came to England and represented USA commendably - and came accross as a bulldog......and i mean that in a good way (you were aggressive, passionate and resilient, with a never give up attitude)...........but, you also found out how imprtant the home advantage is

whilst i believe this would be a great match up, i feel you travelling to a Euro tour event for a match with Karl is a fairer prospect..........i say this because Kal is English 1st and any match in Europe is a proper trek for Karl too - just not as much as to America

regards

How about the expenses for the person who has to travel comes out of the total purse?

You have 2 players playing for 20 grand, 40k total pot. The costs of flying to the country, cabs rides, and staying in the hotel are $4000 lets say. So the 4k is paid out of the pot and now the players play for the $36,000 remaining.

Both players are then taking the exact same risk for the exact same rewards. Seems pretty obviously the fair way of doing things.

if the players are here for the same tourney anyway, then your reasoning makes no matter. both have already incurred the cost of their trips to play in a tourney.
the match "happening", would be of total convenience.
im pretty sure they run would run across each other at major events.

this said, i like dennis in this matchup.
GO USA!
