hey ken,
who are the elite players this year?
I did think of you, Jamie, I just didn't include you for some reason...I think you did play last year didn't you? I didn't see Baraks name on your list...I suppose you are more informed that me on that one. I like watching all those guys play...really give a lesser player (like me) something to strive for.
Have you heard of any 'names' in the Womens Division yet? I'd like to see both Divisions grow. That really could add entertainment value to our amatuer event. I know it gets pretty crowded around those tables during a good match.
See next week...Ken

I won't be playing at ISPA this year, but I was looking at start times and players who are playing in the Masters division. I was very surprised to see very small fields. I can only wonder if that is because 4 players are getting moved up to the elite division each year? But then I see there are two players that are on the Elite list playing in the Masters tournaments. Misprint perhaps? Or rule change?
I was never a big fan of the Elite division anyway, why not have a true state champion?

I hope not! I get to play in one event (not by my own choosing!), and I would really rather not play any pros, thank you very much.![]()
Uh.... explanation on this is imperative. If they are letting elites play in the masters that is something new that I wasn't aware of.![]()
Karla...the Elites (sanction ISPA players) are being allowed to play in the Masters 9ball event with a 2 game spot. That was approved by the board in June. Sorry if you did not hear about it.
Mike...sorry to hear you won't be there this year. I don't think the players moving up to the Elite has hurt the Masters Division as much as players moving back down to the the Open. With the new point system, it will be harder for players to move down a Division in the future.

whoa! i didnt know about any of this! i hope my pops put me in!
