IPT: Anyone planning on watching?

With all the unplanned free promotion of the IPT event on this site, are people on this board planning to attend? I'm making plans right now, if for nothing else to watch Sigel play.

Traveling to Orlando in December doesn't seem like such a bad thing. Anyone got an unused couch?

I plan on going, have you had any luck calling the ticket line? I just get an ansering machine saying call during business hours even though that is when I am calling. No emails answered or calls returned.

You will see an announcement soon (in the next week) about ticket info. That line is not being staffed and is the line from the last event's ticket office.

maybe you can answer some questions. Is the $75 and $35 a pass for the tourament or the day? Why do I have to buy tickets in advance, why can't I just buy one and walk in. I know it could be sold out, I would not bet on every session being sold out, but I should at least have the choice.

All you people are asking if any of us are going to watch but what you don't understand is that us europeans will never get to see the ipt because we do not have the same tv channels as you do.

I don't know what the answer to this is. Hopefully, international TV is part of the grand scheme.

By "watching," I really meant "going to the tournament." I know that's not an easy thing for the rest of the world outside of Florida. Hopefully, there will be something available for everyone to see this event.

Trust me. Many of us, in the States, will not get to see it on TV either. If we do, it will be a greatly abreviated version. We will be lucky to see a few matches or maybe highlights of many matches.
European TV coverage of pool events, on your side of the big pond, is much better than any TV coverage we get in the States.

Tv

If it is on TV, pay per view or otherwise, I will be glued
to the set. Otherwise, no.

Perhaps the WM agency will help us out there.

I believe in this so much that I've already bought my plane tickets. I have no idea whether the tourney tickets are yet available.

Regards,

Fred

I'll be there starting Wednesday night. I'll be at the La Quinta Airport West at 7931 Daetwyler Dr., which is next to the airport (MCO) and 10 miles from the Convention Center by the Bee Line Expy. Most of the hotels next to the Convention Center seem to be sold out.

I can't quite get myself to do that without first having tickets to the event, which aren't for sale. Yet, they say.

But, I find it disconcerting that the Orlando Convention Center aka Orange County Convention Center, www.occc.net, doesn't show this event on their event schedule.

I've emailed OCCC multiple times asking about this discrepancy, but they don't answer.

Well, I heard back from OCCC:

"I did some more research and found that your dates are correct. The "King of the Hill" is at the OCCC on those dates. They are not listed on the website because all paper work has not been completed. Once that happens, it will go on the website."

Good news!

I just called a few minutes ago to check and they are still just penciled in, no contract has been signed as of today. It will appear on the calendar once something is signed according to the person I spoke to.

Can someone give me the exact dates when this is going to to be played. Hopefully something can be worked out by the TV companies (in the US and Europe/rest of the world) or if possible be shown on the internet like they did on for the US Open.

Any information would be appreciated

Visit the IPT web site. http://www.internationalpooltour.com

That's were you're most likely to find correct info.

And, I'll bet IPT will start selling tickets shortly after that... They don't want to sell tickets to an event without a venue!

I'll be there, got my tickets and very excited about the event and this tour. Plus it's nice that it is only 2hrs drive a way from me

Look forward to meeting new friends and getting a couple of autobiographies signed :)
