IPT Break and Run Stats

Colin ... If you could just pick some table after the break,
and put the layout on RSB, and see how many AZ'rs could
get out the same way the pro does.

I'll see what I can do. But generally, the layout look just like what you get on your ordinary home table. I'll take note of any impressive plays and try to show them:)

This may be a dumb question, but is it possible for one of the players to win all 5 of their matches and NOT make it to the next round? If they won all five with a score of 8-7, their GLI would be 7, correct? That wouldn't be enough to get them there to the next round. Just wondering, peace, John.

I don't think so. I believe the GLI is only used as a tie-breaker if two or more people on the fence have the same record. If you go undefeated in your group, you're guaranteed to have the best record in your group...so you'll make it through.

I just tested the final results of Group 4 and got 55 Break and Runs from 183 games played = 30.1%

If you take out the women (just for the hell of it), most of the groups had a final B&R percentage of 35%-39%. One groups had just under 30%.

Seems percentages started too climb toward the end of the day as many players relaxed more.
Big time, considering they were "under 25%" in the first few rounds.

Again, I think this is a good indication, especially considering the climb in B&R stats. The average for 9-ball on normally faster equipment has been about 30%. Someone at one point referenced Accustats, but I can't find it.

I haven't done the math but it might be nearly impossible for more than two player in a round of five to win all five matches.
