IPT optimists?

lol, with all of these "natural cures" and "home" remedies believers it's easy to see why KT got rich off these books. It's amazing how easy it is to con people even in this day and age of technology and how readily available information is.

Everyone send me $25 and I will send you my book of "natural cures". The ones that even KT doesn't want you to know about.
*disclaimer- some of the sh*t in my book may not work, but some of it might.

I'm quarter Cherokee! My birth mother is half, and her daddy was full-blooded Cherokee from North Carolina. :p

That is amazing about that gooky black cure for tumors. Keith told me the name of the pool guy in Vegas that had his brain tumors cured from the Native Americans is James Bach. I don't know if you know him or not.

JAM

I know James quite well. I have to ask him about that.

Lillian (Lee) Hill (her married name) was my "surrogate" mother. She was about 5' tall and 5' wide and NO ONE would mess with her. She was full blooded Cherokee and her father was a Chief of one of the lost tribes from the hills of Tennessee. He did an impromptu "rain dance" for me about 50 years ago.

He must have been 90 years old then, but he put on that long feathered head dress that went down to the ground and his buckskin clothes and began to dance around Lee's living room. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen as a child. I was mesmerized.

I was fortunate to have had Lee in my life. I learned EVERYTHING from her! She is more responsible for what I became than anyone else. My first daughter Heather Lee bears her name.

I was wondering how many others there are like me who are optimistic about the IPT. I have read a lot of the negative messages about the IPT and Kevin Trudeau. Nothing I have read or observed about the IPT or Kevin Trudeau has me convinced that the IPT can't be successful or KT is a bad guy (I could be wrong).

I have never tuned into a live pool feed but I will definitely watch Strickland and Archer. I believe this is a very clever move by the IPT. I am sure the quality will be better than any live pool feed ever and I have always enjoyed Grady as a commentator.

My guess is another payment will go out prior to that match. So far they have paid off $2,310,000 of the 3 million owed from the last tournament. If someone stiffed me for 3 million and then over the course of a year or so paid me $2.3 million of it I would be happy and pretty confident they were going to make good on the rest.

If I were in their position I would probably be taking similar actions to what they are doing. Getting out their communication to potential sponsors, making up the damage for what they have done wrong, promoting like crazy and trying to get their product known.

Will it succeed this time? I'm hoping it will.

Optimists?

Wayne

It's a total who cares. They want to have more tournaments, fine, just put the cash up front. Who cares if they do or don't. If they do people will play and people will watch but any of that crap like you are going to retire with a pension or get health insurance is not necessary.

Forget all the stale con game stuff, just do the tournaments and that will be enough. I would not hold my breath though. The sad part is, the players who are ready to get back on their knees to this guy. Pool players have very little dignity or self respect I guess.

I thought that the IPT pretty much guaranteed the money the first time. I hope that the IPT makes it, but I think the damage may already be done. As far a KT goes, I saw a 20/20 episode about him and some of his "natural cures" were quite humerous. Only thing about it, was that it has fooled alot of people, and that is not funny.

Yeah-just ask Britney, Pam Anderson, Paris Hilton, Hugh Carey, Vanessa Williams. Mark Furman and about a billion others if bad press is better than no press.

So you are saying celebrity gossip has something to do with the public's perception or knowledge of pool? So pro players should go out and make sex tapes that get leaked to the internet and everyone will start going to tournaments? Or drive their cars with their babies in their laps without a seatbelt? Or get fat and .., etc etc. Brilliant.

For some people, bad press may be better then no press. However, for most I think bad press is not something that would be good for then or their image. As far as pool goes, do you really think bad press is better then no press. When there is a fight or shooting at a pool hall, how does that help the sport? It will just confirm people's stereotypes about the sport. One of my regular pool halls had a shooting a few years ago. Of course, it had nothing to do with pool or anything, but how do you think that helped business?

Sorry, Wayne, but you've lost me here on the "pea brain" comment.

Kevin is not the type of person that learns from his mistakes. He doesn't believe he makes any mistakes. He justifies his actions and blames others for creating laws against liars like himself. He would rather take advantaage of your mistakes - profiting from them as he feeds you with a pipe dream that he will smash to pieces whenever he feels like it.

Kevin's book is filled with lies. He has been confronted with these lies and he has no explanation as to why he put them into his book, but there they are. For crying out loud, his book is endorsed on the back cover by a doctor that died 3 years before the book was ever written.

:p

It is well documented that Kevin Trudeau is not the walking apostle of truth. He will tell you anything he has to in order to get you to order his products. All he wants is your Credit Card number so he can bill the crap out of it while you receive nothing. Where I come from, some pea brains call that stealing. Some pea brains call that swindling. Some pea brains call that illegal.

If the cures in his book will cure cancer, and if they cure it all the time down in Mexico, then what about Tammy Faye? She endorsed Kevin's book and followed it to a tee and she's dead. So are lots of other people that fit into your "not always" file. Kevin will tell you that cancer, a disease is responsible for those deaths, not his book. Don't believe me? Ask him yourself. People with certain diseases and cancers should seek medical help. I believe that if KT convinces people otherwise, he should be held somewhat responsible when they follow his "cures" straight into the grave.

I'll make this very clear, I'm not saying the Kevin should be banned from pool. I am saying that he should be banned from preying upon people that need help. He is a cold blooded predatorial con man that shows absolutely no remorse for his actions. Then again, any pea brain could figure that one out, right?

Sorry if you misread my comment regarding pea brain. I have glanced at but never read KT's book "NATURAL CURES ...". I was referring to natural cures in general which I have always found extremely effective. I have shunned many medical cures involving drugs and researched and found natural cures for many different things. A couple of times when I was told surgery was required I was fixed up by chiropractors or with natural remedies. I do everything I can to avoid drugs.

My statement of curing cancer "all the time" was meant as there are many individuals being cured down there on a yearly basis. I know they don't and can't cure all cancers and a lot of the time people arrive too late to rebuild their immune systems because the chemo has destroyed too many good cells.

OH really! And you believe that?

Well I know that Frank the Barber and Oscar Dominguez have written on AZ Billiards in the IPT section that they have received payments for the qualifiers in recent months.

Easy Wayne with the "Cancer cures" down in Mexico. That is a well known scam using apricot pits and other junk.

You are right about KT making "some mistakes" as you call it. The difference is, HE NEVER STOPPED!

I don't know about those "Cancer cures". I do know that a Dr. friend had told me of a place that routinely cures many people diagnosed with cancer by rebuilding their immune system. Although I had known about this for years I never recommended it to anyone. I have a woman who works for me whose daughter has had cancer since her preteens. Over the course of 5 years every time she would get retested after treatment the test numbers and news would always be bad and they would remove more body parts and give additional chemo, drugs, etc. Finally, the mother had given up and I told her about my Dr. friend. She met him and arranged for her daughter to go to Mexico to get the treatment. They tested her daughter and assured them that the immune system hadn't been destroyed to the point of not being able to be rebuilt. She has to go once a month for 12 months for the full treatment (it is very cheap). She has gone 4 times while continuing to get tested here in the U.S. without them knowing about the Mexico treatment. Her cancer numbers have dropped from over 20, to 17, to 14, to 12 when she has been tested here. Apparently, if it goes below 10 the risk level for cancer developing is low.
The daughter also suffered from continual migraine headaches after her last surgery. The medicos here didn't have a cure (except to prescribe powerful pain killers). After her chiropractic and Mexico treatment she no longer has any headaches of any kind.
Her mother told me recently that her daughter told her she felt really good. I asked the mother the last time her daughter told her that and she said she hadn't since she had been diagnosed with cancer (that was when she was a preteen and she is 18 now).
This is my firsthand experience with Mexico treatment. Technically they don't cure cancer they rebuild the immune system and if you have a strong immune system your body will kill harmful cells (without killing the good ones) and resultantly your body will be healthy.

Any publicity pool can get short of a murder will be good for the game yes. Pool is not part of the American publics consciousness. Some good scandals might get a tournament covered in a real newspaper for one.
