IPT Player Betting Pool

Anyone intrested in joining me in an IPT player betting pool.

Here's the rules:

1.Every entrant commits $20 USA to enter.
2. Everyone intrested posts up a list of any 25 players they want to select.
3. Lists must be posted here before Saturday at Midnight Pacific time which is before Sundays tourney starts.
4. Add up the total prize money won by your top 25 players and if your $$$ total is the highest, you are the winner.
5. Only one entry per person.
6. Winner takes all, however, in an event of a tie the prize money is split.
7. Losers mail their cash(promptly) to the winner after the final scores are tabulated.

Please understand that this pool would be based on trust and to commit entirely at your own risk.If someone doesn't pay up, tough s#$@
Because of that I would suggest that you would have to have been a reguliar here for at least 6 months, or 50 posts to be eligible to enter.

Additional comments:

Picking at least 25 players makes this contest more skillful. Everyone will basically pick the SAME top 10 or 15 favourites(which takes no skill), however, it's your last 10 picks, including dark horses that will win or lose you this thing. It's basically just for fun and $20 isn't going to break anyone in the process. Try not to duplicate anyone elses list exactly, as to avoid a tie.Anyone who doesn't pay up promptly will of course be banned from further pools. Post up your list of ANY 25 players if intrested.

RJ

ps. If the gambling isn't cool, we could always just do it for fun and crown somebody as an IPT Pool Shark.

Excellent Mr. J.

Even if we only get 5 or 6 entries, it will be a start.

We can razz each other up and have some fun with this thing as time goes on and I'm sure some good conversation could follow.Hopefully at least 3 or 4 more will join in and it can grow from there for upcoming tourneys.

It's really great to see that we have five so far,so it's a pool with some substance. My thinking is the next pool with more notice will be even bigger and we can do more IPT tourneys, the US Open and the WPC down the road.

I'm also glad everyone picked some dark horses and didn't just go with the top 25 names on the list. There's no fun in that for sure.Best of luck to everyone, as we'll see how it pans out.

If you will notice rule #3 the cut off for entries was at Midnight Pacific time last night.Sorry ,but I can't afford to be wishy washy with the rules while running a pool.

The pool entry time is now officially closed.

I thought you meant midnight Saturday which would be 3 AM EST Sunday. I wasn't going to enter anyway but I just thought I would point out that it wasn't completely clear.
