Irish linen question

Take 2 they're small

I just had a new Irish linen wrap installed on my cue and the fibers are raised on it.
I'm not sure if it was something in the install or if the Irish linen has a quality control issue.
It's been starched and pressed but the issue still persists. Does anyone have any other ideas on how I can get those to lay down or disappear and the wrap to finish smooth.
Thank you in advance

I would take it back to the person that wrapped it if possible.
Was it a mail order wrap job?

Here you go:
Glass burnish the wrap a few times. I’ve posted about how to do it on several threads.
I have four cues with Cortland Linen and do this all the time after cleaning the wraps.
Send me a PM if you want more info; this was a tip Bob Runde gave me back in ‘85.

I recently cleaned my linen wrap and un like other cues this one (Schmelke) only fuzzed up a little.
I decided to just play with it and let the natural oils from my hand and the pressure knock the fuzz down.
The linen on the Schmelke did not fuzz up as much as the linen on my Lucasi that was wrapped localy .
