Irish Linen vs. Leather

Ok 2 questions:

1.) I really like the feel of a wrapless cue, would just like to get opinions from cuemakers/players. A nicely pressed waxed Irish Linen or a Smooth Leather, which would feel closer to a wrapless cue??

2.) Does Tim Scruggs make a J/B? Anybody know of any that he has made or have one for sale perhaps?

Thanks to all who offer their opinions,

i feel leather is closer in general, but i have felt some wraps on old cues, where the wrap was done very nice and then time made it even better, that felt really nice.

i am spoiled with leather. i wont use linen unless it is old cortland and that isnt easy to find. smoothest linen ever. best IMO

The closest feel to a wrapless cue is the Tiger Stack Leather wrap imo.

I agree
Have 8 leather wrapped cues and the stacked leather is the closest to wrapless

I would be happy with a plain leather wrap, compared to a an exotic leather warp like lizard or snakeskin.

The nicest cue that I've ever hit a ball with, was a Carolina Custom box cue and it had a plain leather wrap on it and boy it had such a sweet hit, but the wrap was also comfortable to shoot with, which is an important factor when shooting pool :) (In fact, the more I think about it, the more I'm tempted to have a custom Carolina Cue made)

Im guessing the consensus is that a nice leather wrap would be to my satisfaction lol, but how about the Scruggs Jump/Break, no one is answering on that, (Craig, you wouldnt happen to know if those 2 are for sale would you lol) they must be very hard to find :)
