Can anyone recommend a video for doing wraps that include the whole process including cutting the cue for the wrap. Google is not helping. Thanks.

Cuejo has a very nice video on youtube on how to install a linen wrap. It doesn't show how to cut the wrap groove. If you don't already know that, I wouldn't attempt it myself, just my opinion though. Nevertheless, Cuejo has some nice instructional videos on youtube. Good luck.

Hi,

One tip I can offer:

I have been doing wraps for about ten years and today I do not my spin my lathe when I install my wrap anymore. I turn the cue by hand while holding it loose between centers. By doing it this way I have fond that I don't need a roller press any more and I just burnish the linen with a small oak square for flatining to attaining the look I want without a small gaps between any linen strands because I hand wrap the string and render the string very tight without gaps with no need for the roller tool.

It takes me an extra 20 minutes but I feel it was worth it

Good luck,

Rick

I am with rick on this one, takes a bit longer to do, but the results are amazing. good luck

I never had a problem wrapping under power.
This video was actually the first wrap I did when I got my new deluxe.
I wasn't used to the delay from when I hit the pedal to when the lathe actually started turning.
I am used to it now though!
