Real nice. I like the wood butt cap. Great coloration, the wrap color works well, too.
Congrats.

nice cue

held the square before it was turned round. ironwood is a very fitting name.

very clean cue. i like the combo. don't see very many maple pointed cues from him

how's it hit?

congrats

Thank you for the nice comments. It's a good hitting cue. A little on the soft side, but that could be due to the new style micarta ferrules. Gonna send it back to Tony to switch out the joint to ivory, flatten out the wedge more and put a boxed veneer window opposite the wedge in the backend with an ivory plate in it.

Very nice cue. Tony does some fantastic work when he is able to.

I'm curious as to the weight and balance of this cue.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

Why are you having all this work done to the cue after it has been completed?

The hoppe ring in was not part of my original design. Tony added it and I love it. Think the ivory joint would dress the cue up more. As for the veneer window its great for a nameplate. The plug at the butt would be very hard with the wedge flatter like the old style. Then again I may just put it away or part with it. Either way, Tony did a great job!

The specs are as follows:

length and weight : butt : 29 in. - 15.1 oz.
: shaft 1 : 28 15/16 in. - 3.7 oz.
: shaft 2 : 28 15/16 in. - 3.5 oz.

The balance point is about 10 in. down the forearm from the joint

Extra Work...???

I personally Think This Cue Is Beautiful Just the Way it Is Now.....IMO
I Had similar thoughts myself about having added work done to a completed cue I have by another maker and I was strongly Urged to
NOT have the Extra Work Done. It may depend on the Maker but I have been told by several people in the Pool Business that once a Cue is Fully
Completed, It should stay that way or any major changes could affect the
integrity of the original build.
Of course with your case Tony would know best but after I thought about what other people had told me, It made sense to me.
Plus it always gives me another reason to Buy another Cue....HaHaha

Good Luck and Keep Us Posted On What You Decide

Thanks.......Paul

This is a special cue. I love the combination of woods and veneers as well as the overall design. The ringwork is excellent too.
