Is anyone else surprised by IPT round 1???

I totally agree and I'm eagerly awaiting the updates on the IPT web site. Unfortunately, the updates are not coming as fast as they should.
 
Where to see IPT tournament?

I see that many of you have gotten results from the IPT tournament. Is it on TV or video streaming anywhere?

I haven't seen any IPT matches since OLN had them on for last year's tournament. Does anyone know if they are going to be on again?

I would love to see a few matches.

Strickland won 8-6, however, I view this as a good learning experience for her. I'm sure she'll do better next time she plays him.

I completely agree. Anyone that gets 6 games from Earl has my respect.
 
Are you kidding me? She will be an underdog to Strickland EVERY time they play forever, as are all other females on the planet when they are playing ANY of the top men. Disagree with me? You're wrong................................Marc

Sylver Ochoa got 2nd and showed lots of heart. It,s hard not to love that Kid.

How about Rodney Morris? Yes, he did lose one of his individual matches, but in his 3 wins, he had 7, 6, and 6 break and run outs. That's pretty impressive. If he can keep that up, he'd be nearly impossible to beat. I'd love to be able to keep my opponent in the chair that much. Even in his one loss, he did have 2 B & R and also 1 8-ball on break.

Playsome: 9-ball is Earl's strongest game, not 8-ball. In the press release, even Earl admitted that Jasmin should have won the match. Jasmin made some mistakes toward the end but she will learn from it and do better the next time.

Obviously, you have no idea who LJJ is and what she's achieved. And I assure you, were you to match up with her, you'd find out a lot of things of which you have no clue--one for certain, how fast she'd empty your pockets.

Anyway, your assumptions and conclusions about LJJ are so unfounded, so absurb, I did get a good laugh from it.
 
50 balls to 200? That may be one of the best bets I ever heard of, I'm in!:) ..............Marc

With all due respect to Jasmin's straight pool game, which I hear is top-notch, you know Earl's run over 400 balls, right? 9-ball may be his best game, but there was a time when he was one of the best straight pool players in the world. I'm not saying Jasmin couldn't possibly beat him in a match today, but I seriously doubt she could give him 50 points to 200.

And how about Rodney Morris, 21 break-and-runs is damn strong! Sounds to me like he's figuring out how to adapt his run-out 9-ball game to 8-ball patterns. With an open table, there aren't many who move through the rack with more ease than Rodney.

What matters is how she plays today, not what she did many years ago. In watching the LJJ vs. Mike Sigel match, it was very obvious that LJJ was intimidated by Mike Sigel and she openly admitted she was a nervous wreck. Strickland would have a field day sharking LJJ.
