Is anyone selling custom cues at this time

If you will read the "Rules" at the top of this forum, you will see that this is NOT to be used as a sales forum.

Your best bet is to look in the For Sale/Wanted Forum

I may be complete wrong... but I think perhaps the Original poster was simply asking "How's Business??" or "Is anyone seeing customers come thru the doors?". But like I said I could be wrong...

That was my take on the original post too!

In my case the answer is no. But I am shut down rearranging my shop. I am curious if anyone else is selling anything.

I only build custom cues so all of my cues are sold before I start building them. I will say that I haven't been without a waiting list for over 10 years. I delivered 2 cues this past weekend and 2 the week before. I will be starting 6 cues within the next week. Actually, Christmas season and right after is the slowest time of the year for me. Everyone ties their money up in credit cards purchasing gifts for family and friends. Feb. is the busiest time of the year. Tax refunds are mad money and I will get 15-30 more orders from mid Feb. till the end of March.

I sold several custom cues this year, but nothing like my peak years in the 90's.

Like Dick I only make custom cues so their all sold BEFORE started.

47 this year - 26 with an A joint - 6 Full Splice 4 Prather/2 Davis - 15 SneakyPetes.

I have a six space case at my local hall in which I keep my personal cues.

At least once a month someone talks me into selling one of them, this month (Dec.) two sold.

Yes I know I make myself too many cues!

Not my best year but nowhere near my worst.......

I guess I mis-interpreted - sorry:embarrassed2:

Don't have the final numbers yet, but up somewhere close to 50%.

It's been a good year for us, and we expect to grow even more next year.

Cues

Took 14 cue orders out of the blue in the two weeks near the end of November. Dec 6th my wife had another serious fall at home and now we are dealing with more medical problems. I'm doing roughly 24/7 now for her needs. I talked to all 14 orders soon after her fall and all but one have stood by me and will wait for me to slowly work on their cue building. A big thanks to them for their trust. They are on a rotating schedule so everyone gets something done in an orderly fashion. The one who decided to go elsewhere did so kindly, and with class. I don't fault him, but I couldn't give him an exact date for completion. As I see it, family matters come first but communication of the situation with the customer is very important. We have now gone separate ways in peace. My repair orders keep a steady pace so why am I sitting here when there's work to be done??

Happy Holidays to All. Even to the guy who walked away!!!!!
