Is AZ getting paid for its IPT banner ads?

This question is for the AZ site management

Almost every pool site I look at on the web has links back to IPT.

I know that those banner ads provide income and are how the site make money from the website.

Also this is another expense for the IPT, the same as paying players.

I would expect this expense to be much less than 3 million dollars.

So, is the IPT bill current or are there delays?

Just wondering....

I heard a rumor that some of the media outlets have not been paid. Nothing more was elaborated so I never said anything... it's possible that it's not true, but information from this person is usually dead on. I don't know if they meant websites, magazines... I simply don't know. They just said that some of the media has not been paid as of yet and we're talking before Reno....

There's a fine line media outlets have to walk with any sponsor/advertiser. If they are too forceful in demanding payment they risk alienating the sponsor/advertiser who will withdraw their placement and move it to other outlets.

Exactly! Since the IPT is the biggest thing going on in the pool world for both good and bad reasons, I'm sure people have been more tolerant of non-payment from the IPT than they would be from someone else.

Oh yeah.. Uh huh.. Even if the IPT was still solvent, I hardly think they could afford to drop the banners on arguably the most visited billiards related website on the net.

Last I heard, there aren't any other websites that crash every time there is a major tourney. Though it could be because AZBilliards does not have the right server equipment/bandwidth to support the traffic, I think that it should be the IPT striving to keep AZBilliards as a customer, not the other way around.

If not for AZBilliards, a lot of players would not even know the IPT existed. ("existed" in the past tense, that is..)

I've been thinking about this for a month. I expect two things.

1. If Mike doesn't want to be put to the back of the "pay me" line...AZ keeps quiet.
2. I expect no statement ever made in public unless IPT officially packs it in or declares Chapter 11.

Nick

Unless of coarse it's pre-paid. Mike you wascally wabbit.

I imagine if people use that link to the IPT and sign up for the membership club then AZB receives $20.

Only Mike knows if he has received any payments from the IPT and he would be foolish to divulge that.

Maybe. Someone should run a credit check on the IPT. It's rather amazing how the credit monitoring folks have records of missed payments. People/businesses divulge commercial credit information all the time.

AzB is not set up as an affiliate on the IPT site. We do not receive any percentage for people signing up as a member.

We do receive payment for the ad banners though.
