Very recently I made a post in the "new tax laws" thread in which I attempted some humor responding to Hntfsh post in which he suggested paying with chickens. I went further to offer my opinion on why I feel the government is expanding IRS and poof, mine and his posts were removed along with all responses to them.

There was nothing egregious in my post, just some levity and a fair opinion that apparently a lot of guys liked. Why was it removed along with all responses?

You've been a bad boy. I guess. With no expectation of privacy these days, now you want freedom of speech?

Yup, been censured once again as well.

It has happened to me twice, both recently. In this case, I simply made a comment and in came the argument. I don't have time for arguments, just time for a smile and another awesome day.

With all the bile that's tossed around on this forum, mixed with horrible comprehension skills. I'm the sure powers that be tend to be a tad more 'knee jerk' than exploratory when someone reports a post.

Keep in mind my friends. Perception overrides intention when hurt feelings reports are issued.

More and more forums on line (including CafePharma and others) are censoring posts that point out anything negative about the current administration or anything positive about the previous administration. Liberals in the media and government have found a winning solution to quashing any view counter to their own.

Your post was awesome and I agree that it was all in fun. Apparently some Karen has decided humor or sarcasm about any govt decisions is taboo. Someone has taken the issue of how much the NPR forum sucks too far when it comes to regular discussions in other forums. Might be because too many azzholes spend all day in there accomplishing nothing.

I've tried to be a decent member here and paid to support the site but cancelling innocent posts isn't gonna fly. Especially when people like Justin keep joining after years of bans and trolling. For free.

Indiscriminate moderation is sign of a troubled forum.

I don't agree with one of your points. The one I bolded. There would have never been much of a problem in NPR if the rules had been
enforced and that was it. We have a small group of guys that constantly cross the line with personal attacks. When they are reported
(which will happen eventually after they have an attack party on people), the result was to shut down all political discussion which wasn't
fair to the rest of us that were having real discussion and minding our manners.

The rule breakers were basically let to run the place because this site is a one man show.

A former moderator burned out any trust the owner has for having any moderator that has time to take care of the small issues and actually
enforce the rules. The rules here are fine. They just need to be used for what they were intended and have some staff to do that.

Do that one thing and the problem is solved. People don't like not being able to discuss things on a discussion forum.

Pool is not the only subject Pool Players discuss. With corona kicking up like it is, we need other things to talk about besides
a game we learned to play as teenagers that some of us don't feel like playing in public during this virus.

The latest trend is just delete the conversations. I see its now moved to the main as well and I guess people don't like it anymore
than we do in NPR. We attempt to talk about other things but there's only so much left when the news is the news. Free speech
is something people hold dear but there is a difference in free speech and hateful garbage directed at someone personally. That is
what rules are for.

My last comment on this matter is this.

If you're truly upset about a post you made on a pool forum being deleted, or the notion of someone else's suffering the same action. Then you are, in my honest opinion, far too invested. Time to reassess...

Play safely my friends ;)

Either way, my point was the effect that issue has had on the regular forums. Peace and harmony in anything like the NPR forum ain't gonna happen anyway, right? It doesn't on any other website forum and certainly not the likes or Twitter or Fakebook it's just that they are the Cancel Kings. So maybe AZB is just pool twitter now?

There's no peace and harmony anywhere in the whole world. Even in Pool.

It can't happen if you don't let it. It's been let happen.

The ones that ruined it have run it into the ground because they need a vacation they aren't getting.

If it becomes too much of your time, yes. If indiscriminate cancelling of conversation continues without merit or cause, that's a problem. It's not as if that topic isn't under nationwide scrutiny. And for good reason. But for sure I'm not paying to experience it. (y)

This isn't an NPR thread. Don't drag it down.

guys that got censored, you got off light! Better look at the top of the NPR forum, there is a new banner been there for days now. I do think it should have had a red or other brighter background. I think Mike is telling you gently, no politics period! Humor leads to serious replies and general "creep" and soon politics are back again!

You were the one who insinuated that the problems in NPR were affecting the forum now.

My point is there is no problem in NPR that couldn't easily be fixed and I'll reply to any attack on free speech
such as the one where you go after NPR because they are the problem when we aren't.

Now that it affects you its easy to blame the other guy.

This isn't an NPR thread. Don't drag it down.

Reference point. All you want to post about is NPR. Look at your own posts. The bigger picture is poor moderation.

It's not a pool thread, either.

Perhaps we need a forum for chickenshit threads. A few posts got delete in the main pool forum that had nothing to do with pool. Get over it.
Your posts weren't deleted, for, nothing. It was closer to pool related than any NPR thread. I do agree with Chicken on this. Pass it over, simple enough.
