Is AZBilliards a virtual pool hall?

Generally I visit this forum at night, while I''m practicing pool in my basement and taking a break. Thanks to the DUI laws and the smoking bans, all the pool halls in my area are closed. The bars aren't much better, so I mostly stay home.

I'm not complaining, because I spend lots of time practicing and it's paying off. My game might not be on fire, but it's warming up. And when I'm looking for pool conversation, news, etc., I check in on AZB.

So I'm thinking, this place is like a pool hall. When I'm not playing, I'm hanging out.

You?

Yes, but when I leave the forum, I leave with my dignity intact...unlike some nights out at a "real" poolhall. And I'm not paying by the hour. :-)

Paul,

You should come down the road a bit south and play us some at Fugglies (Belleview/Simms) in Littleton. We have a dual sanctioned VNEA/BCA A/AA league on Tuesdays that you might enjoy. Perhaps you already play there... There is a Paul that shoots pretty straight now that I think about it...

Nothing in the internet pool world comes as close to comparing to a real pool hall than the TAR chatroom!!! Here to there? No comparison.....
