Saw some of his match with Chang.
Looks like he holds the cue very loosely and lets it slide often .
Saw him dart it one on a snip draw shot.
 
Sometimes he does imo- but just on some shots.

What i saw, too is, that he worked hard on his fundamentals- he was keeping his head much more still. Also the body movement is clearly reduced.
Like what i saw from him in Vegas.

He really stretches and walks into the shot too.
Slips the cue there .

Need to see the video but searched on one and if you watch his first and 2nd shot his index finger comes off the cue.
My mentor did the same thing. I asked him and he said "well I guess you learned something today".

I'm not a Pro for sure and I don't make that movement, but I do try to be completely relaxed. Zero tension. Nearly zero pressure.
Might not be for everyone, I'm sure.
