wondered if earl strickland made it back yet from his long trip to japan yet? he does have a temper problem when archer told earl to shut up i think he meant that i was surprised that archer did not go up to earl and tell him that and this legends tour thing that earl was on i think he quit doing that and archer had to find a new member for it so he got nick varner thanks

Not only is he back, Travis, but he is hunting you down. He thinks that you proselytizing Cue-tec is wrong and immoral. He said something about "eviscerating you with a white Fischer model". Watch your back.

BTW, what is your name again?

Your opinion is one based on personal prejudice. Too bad you can't create a thread based on fact and/or the truth. Try it sometime. You just might like it.

Yes, he's back. A couple of friends of mine (yes, I do have a couple of friends), said that he played in a small tournament last weekend in Greensboro, but didn't fair to well!! He was very gracious in defeat!! He didn't lose his temper once!!

That's what I heard too. In fact, I think Mike Davis defeated him, if it's the same tournament.

I love, love, love Greensboro, NC. Have you ever been to Kernersville, Suzie's Diner?

My all-time favorite spot is Pilot Mountain. It is absolutely gorgeous in the autumn months. I am going to go back there someday before I meet my maker and hang out on Pilot Mountain for a couple weeks. I love that place.

Yeah, it was Mike Davis. He beat Earl 7-0!! To this day, I have no idea how he makes that stroke of his work. But it does for him!!

I have never been to Greensboro myself, but I plan on going soon. I take it those places are good places to eat?

Yikes. I didn't hear it was 7-zip. Ouch! Mike always was a good racker/breaker! :)

Suzie's Diner is off the Interstate, and each day, they served FRESH vegetables, and they had over 20 fresh vegetable items to choose from. I loved that place. North Carolina is the BEST, BEST, BEST when it comes to Southern hospitality and cuisine, at least in my experience. Good helpings, and FREE refill of sodas. WOW!

Pilot Mountain is scenic. There's trails you can walk, and it's just a romantic kind of place. Not much pool action, as it used to be dry county, but there's a private Eagles, Moose, or some club in town that has pool action. You just gotta know somebody.

Yep, North Carolina is one of my favorite places to visit, bar none!

With the lack of big tournaments in this country I'm surprised Earl never plays valley forge. It's been a long time since he's played there.

He just might in the future. There used to be one person who worked there who was a deterrent for some players' participation in SBE. This person is not there anymore, and nobody knew it until this year.

I love that venue. It's the BEST! :)

Did anyone notice the question mark at the end of the first sentence?

Thanks for the kudos on Greensboro & NC JAM.

I can verify first hand that Mike Davis got Earl 7-zip. His first defeat was to Greensboro's Bobby Stranberg, 7-4, who finished 7th. Bobby played very well, and needless to say was quite proud of this W (as was Janet, his wife).

BTW, Mike was handed his defeats by BJ Ussery, and then Kernersville's Jeff Bean. Jeff also had Stevie down 4-zip before losing momentum. Nice playing Jeff, BJ and Bobby! Stevie Moore won the tourney and had been the calcutta #1. Nice tourney Stevie, great to see you come up and play here!
