I have my pool table in my heated garage but keep the garage around 54F until I want to use it then turn heat up to 60-70F so it's comfortable. We start to play before the table and balls get to that temp so is it bad or NY negative effects to plying with balls tht are cool in the 50-55* temps or should I always bring in the house after every use and keep 64-66* until I play?

I had a table in a garage and would warm it up when I wanted to play.
On very cold days the balls would get damp from condensation.
It was never a problem I just wiped them down.

Like BC said, bringing them in might be a good idea

In the winter I keep my basement around 59-60 degrees. I’ve played all winter long for years .. no problem

I keep mine in my pants. All 15 of them. It’s the nuts.
So… does that make a person crazy if they put their hand in their pocket and feel nuts.
Seriously… if pool balls get cold enough(freezing) can they distort?

How about a heated blanket over the table and balls.

It’s cheap and simple. Don’t even have to cover end to end just the most coverage you can get.
You probably want a cover over the blanket to keep the heat in. That would help the blanket get the ends.

Or, install a proper heating system in the table. There are descriptions of some in the carom forum. You will still want a cover to keep the heat in/on the table.

Heated tables?? Never played 3Cusion and never knew they made heated tables. Is the heat to keep humidity down?

He wants his balls warm too.

A cold pool ball hasn’t got much life. It’s not unlike a golf ball....a cold ball doesn’t go as far as a warm on...
...if you can drive a ball 260, you lose approximately 30: yards.
...and, yes, I’ve won a few hundred knowing that....it’s physics.

Its about 2yd for every 10degrees. So on a 50deg day compared to 90deg you lose about 8yds. Its not a ton but its real.
